Lakshmi informs Mangal that she won’t be able to come as Karthik hasn’t returned from his recording session. Mangal reassures her, saying it’s alright. She then takes the family out for dinner, where Kusum observes the children’s joy and urges Mangal to eat as well.
At the restaurant, Akshar meets his friend, who asks about his family. When he mentions that his father isn’t present, his friend compares their fathers, highlighting how his own father always makes time for him. This comparison unsettles Akshar, who angrily throws his plate, accidentally hitting other children. A commotion ensues, and Mangal apologizes to the affected parents. She gently questions Akshar, who, feeling hurt, insists that his father loves him. One of the parents suggests counseling for Akshar. Mangal embraces him, affirming Adit’s love. Kusum points out that Akshar has never behaved this way before, and Shanti blames Adit for neglecting his children, just as he once ignored his wife. She warns Mangal to acknowledge reality before it’s too late.
Meanwhile, Adit returns home and finds the house empty. Somiya remarks that despite his concerns about his mother’s anger and the children’s distress, they went out happily without him. When the family returns, Adit questions their absence, but they ignore him. Frustrated, he explains that he was delayed because his laptop malfunctioned and he had to redo his work. He promises to take the children out the next day, but Akshar, deeply hurt, refuses to believe him. Crying, he clings to Mangal.
Adit attempts to reason with Ishana, but Somiya interrupts. Ishana dismisses her interference, assuming she prevented Adit from coming home. Akshar accuses Somiya of stopping his father from spending time with them. This angers Adit, who scolds Akshar for overstepping his boundaries. Mangal interjects, stating that children reflect what they see. She asserts that Adit’s frequent absence is affecting them. When Somiya tries to justify herself, Mangal firmly tells her to stay out of their family matters and takes the children upstairs.
Kusum confronts Adit about his priorities, emphasizing that his absence is causing insecurity in the children. She highlights how Mangal has taken on his responsibilities, not just as a mother but also as the son of the family when Adit was absent during Sudesh’s heart attack. Adit, infuriated, grabs Mangal’s hand and accuses her of turning his children and parents against him. Mangal defends herself, stating that Akshar was extremely hurt. Adit questions her newfound courage and ridicules her for managing things on her own. He accuses her of orchestrating the situation to embarrass him publicly. Enraged, he takes out bangles and sarcastically suggests she should wear them. In the process, he injures Mangal’s hand. When she winces, he dismisses it as a drama and warns her to stop influencing his family. Mangal tearfully states that all she ever wanted was the family’s happiness. Adit storms off.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi worries about Karthik and tries to call him. When she enters her room, she finds gifts with a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for the light and peace she has brought into his life. Overjoyed, she wonders if their marriage is progressing beyond friendship.
Later, Mangal prepares Sudesh’s medicines, but Somiya secretly alters them. The children apologize to Adit, who acknowledges their feelings and explains his work stress. Kusum urges him to apologize to Mangal as well, but Mangal changes the subject and asks the children to get ready for school.
While giving Sudesh his medicines, Mangal notices an extra tablet and realizes it isn’t part of his prescription. Meanwhile, Somiya tries to trip Mangal, but instead, Akshar stumbles and gets hurt. Mangal comforts him and applies medicine to his wound. Amidst the commotion, Somiya secretly switches Sudesh’s medication. She later stops him from taking a pill, revealing that it’s actually an antidepressant and extremely dangerous for heart patients. Shocked, she questions why Mangal was giving it to him, setting the stage for more trouble.
