Mangal Lakshmi 31st October 2024 Written Episode begins with Soumya declaring that she will perform the Diwali pooja. Kusum, however, tells Mangal that she wants her to do all the decorations and conduct the pooja, not Soumya. Mangal agrees with her.

A woman arrives to sell diyas. Soumya rudely tells her to leave. The woman explains that Mangal buys diyas from her every year, but Soumya pushes her away, calling her designs old-fashioned. The woman falls, her diyas scatter, and she leaves in tears after calling Soumya heartless. Soumya mocks her and continues with the decorations. Later, she tells Adit that he looks good, and he compliments her back. Kusum asks about the diyas, but Soumya says she has decorated the entire house with lights and insists that old diyas are no longer needed. She proudly declares herself the new daughter-in-law of the family.

When the pooja begins, Kusum asks Adit to sit with Mangal. The pandit announces that the Lakshmi of the house should light the diya. Kusum imagines Mangal in that role and tears up. At that moment, Soumya interrupts, insisting that she is the Lakshmi of the house and will perform the pooja. Kusum warns her to have some shame, but Soumya says Adit is out with friends, so no one will find out.

Outside, Mangal meets the same woman and learns how Soumya mistreated her. Mangal assures her that she will use the diyas to decorate the whole house. Meanwhile, Kusum despairs that the house feels dark this Diwali. The pandit arrives for the pooja, asking to call the daughter-in-law. Soumya steps forward with Adit, but she recognises the pandit as the one who conducted her wedding. She hides her face in fear that he might expose her.

Adit suddenly switches off the main lights to divert attention, telling Soumya that if the pandit recognises them, their truth will come out. Kusum says the only misfortune in the house this Diwali is Soumya. Just then, Mangal enters with the diyas, and Kusum warmly calls her the true light of the house. The pandit agrees, saying Mangal is the real Lakshmi of the family. The electricity returns, and Sudesh explains that it was only a fuse issue.

Kusum insists that Mangal should start the pooja and that Adit should sit with his wife. The pandit interrupts, revealing that Adit and Soumya are not truly married. He recalls conducting their wedding and explains that the rituals were never completed, as they took only three rounds instead of seven. The revelation shocks everyone. The pandit questions how they can act like husband and wife without completing the marriage and leaves angrily.

Kusum confronts Adit and demands the truth. When Soumya tries to speak, Kusum silences her and asks her son directly. Adit admits that the pheras were incomplete. Kusum furiously declares that everything about Soumya is false, including her sindoor. She calls Soumya a liar and pushes her out of the house, asking her never to return. Kusum then tells Mangal to sit for the pooja alone, saying they do not need Adit.

Meanwhile, Gayatri recalls Jiya’s words. Lakshmi and Karthik perform the pooja together. Lakshmi hands a thaali to Gayatri, who deliberately drops it and blames her. Karthik helps clean up, but Sanjana criticises Gayatri, telling her not to lie even in front of God. Jiya looks at her photos with Karthik, reflecting silently.
