Mangal suggests that Lakshmi and Karthik perform the ritual, but Lakshmi insists that Mangal should rest. Sanjan reminds them that Mangal would be disappointed if they didn’t do it together. However, Mangal reassures everyone that it will only take a few minutes. He also mentions how seeing them together would make him feel better. Kusum agrees with Lakshmi and encourages her to sit on the swing while Karthik pushes her gently. Ishana apologizes to Mangal for any discomfort caused. Gayatri tells Kusum about some urgent work that requires her to leave, but Karthik suggests they all go together and leave Mangal to rest. He then asks Lakshmi to stay with Mangal as she needs her care. Kusum assures everyone they are there for Mangal’s well-being and suggests taking Lakshmi home while Lipika stays behind. Lipika agrees and tells everyone to go and rest peacefully.
Upon Karthik’s return, he broaches the subject with Gayatri about the situation with Lakshmi. He had overheard their conversation and was curious if she had punished her for something. Gayatri responds that Lakshmi tends to cause issues within the family and is always prying into everyone’s business. She had done so again today when she came by and started questioning them. Karthik reassures Gayatri that he is not offended by Mangal’s behavior towards him, as he holds her in high regard, just as he does with her. He reminds her that withholding Lakshmi from seeing her sister may not be the best action, especially since she loves and cherishes her sister deeply.
Kusum delivers dinner to Mangal, who insists that Amma does not need to do any chores. Lipika had to study and left, prompting Akshar to offer assistance. Ishana and Akshar present Mangal with a get well soon card and receive a grateful hug in return. As she admires the card, Mangal mentions her ability to dance, but Ishana reminds her not to overexert herself. Adit then interjects, asking why she is doing this and if she wants them all to suffer. He questions if her actions are an attempt to stay in bed and avoid responsibilities for the next month.
Mangal wanted to demonstrate the details of Ishana’s dance competition. Adit, however, interjected and suggested they move on from the topic of dance. Ishana then offered to discuss a possible solo performance with her teacher. She reassured her mother not to worry and to take a break. Adit expressed frustration at being constantly bothered about the matter. To avoid upsetting Ishana, Mangal said he must dance for her but didn’t want to trouble Lakshmi. Lakshmi replied, expressing how much she misses her sister and unsure how to reach her.
The following day, Kusum enters the kitchen to prepare breakfast and finds Mangal in her wheelchair. Kusum offers to take on the task, but Mangal insists she can make something. Kusum expresses concern that it may become too tiring for Mangal and offers to do it instead. Mangal questions how Kusum will manage independently, to which Kusum responds by asking if she doubts her abilities. Mangal reassures her she is capable, and Kusum suggests taking a break instead.
Lakshmi serves Karthik’s coffee, and he wakes up with a frown. Concerned, she asks him what happened and wonders if she did something wrong. Frustrated, he questions why she wants to talk now when she didn’t share anything with him earlier. Lakshmi apologizes, tears well in her eyes as Karthik looks at her. He expresses his hurt and feeling left out because she didn’t tell him that his mother did not allow her to go somewhere. She explains that she couldn’t bring herself to disclose it. Despite everything, Karthik reassures her, saying he trusts her the most and wishes she had confided in him so he could have spoken to his mother about it.
Karthik expresses his confusion, wiping away her tears. He insists on a new rule of openness between them. She acknowledges that their circumstances vary and that society holds them to different standards. She explains that she couldn’t refuse their mother’s request to cut ties with their sister. Gayatri overhears and accuses the woman of manipulating her son.
Mangal assists Kusum, who inquires about Adit’s whereabouts. Mangal informs her that he is likely in the shower and then offers Adit a cup of coffee. She also directs him to where his wallet and belongings are located. He expresses frustration, remarking on the disorganization and inability to accomplish simple tasks accurately.
