He accuses her of mixing chemicals in halwa that caused food poisoning. Kusum defends Mangal, urging her to speak up. Mangal insists that she made everything pure and did not add anything harmful. Everyone is shocked.
Adit mocks her, saying she worked secretly as a halwai while accusing him of being a cheater. Mangal admits she wanted to reveal the truth but held back due to her father’s health. The inspector announces that she must be arrested. Mangal pleads her innocence, explaining she even stopped others from using fake paneer.
The inspector orders all the cooks to be taken into custody. The manager blames Mangal, saying she made the halwa and food. Mangal defends herself, reminding them she prepared the food in front of him. Kusum asks why Mangal hid her work. Mangal explains she only wanted to support the family and protect their dignity. She again insists on checking the food to prove her point.
The inspector tastes the paneer and spits it out, declaring it synthetic and dangerous. Mangal is shocked because she had thrown away the fake paneer earlier. She begs them to check the dustbin, but nothing is found. Meanwhile, another woman secretly delivers the fake paneer to Soumya, who smirks, satisfied that her plan has worked.
The inspector, convinced of Mangal’s guilt, orders her arrest, accusing her of playing with people’s lives. Shanti defends Mangal, pointing out that it is her own sister’s roka, so she would never do this deliberately. Despite her pleas, Mangal is dragged away by the police. She begs to be taken through the back door to avoid humiliating her family, but the officers insist on arresting her in front of everyone.
Outside, the groom’s family arrives. Shanti nervously welcomes them, hiding her tears. They notice the silence and comment that the roka feels dull. Kusum covers up, saying it is an emotional moment for the family. When asked about Lipika, Shanti lies that she is stuck in traffic. Verenda mocks the excuse and laughs at their situation.
Kusum urges Adit to arrange Mangal’s bail, but he refuses, blaming her for humiliating the family. Kusum argues that Mangal may have hidden her job, but she would never harm anyone. Adit coldly replies that he does not care, saying even the children will feel ashamed of her. Kusum reminds him that his cruelty pushed Mangal into this situation and begs him not to forget humanity.
Meanwhile, Mangal sits in the police jeep crying. The constable tells her regret is useless now. Mangal sobs that she has been falsely accused. On the road, Karthik and Lakshmi spot the police vehicle, and Lakshmi notices Mangal’s saree inside.
