Lakshmi Karthik arrives for dinner, Kusum says. This is your first dinner together as husband and wife. Gayatri says, “Sit together.” Mangal begs them to sit. She gives them food. Kusum, you ought to share a plate. Mangal brings them a little dish. Let me call Adit, too, Mangal says.
Adit rests in his room. He says, “Who gets married in this hot summer?” I’m glad I came here. It’s great to see Karthik in this exhibition. I feel helpless. Someone comes over. Karthik says, “I’m not hungry.” Kusum says you won’t eat if you don’t eat, so make Lakshmi eat. Karthik asks why everyone is after me.
Somaiya enters Adit’s room dressed in bridal attire. Confused, Adit questions her presence in the dress and expresses concern about being seen by others. Somaiya explains that they cannot hide from people forever and then takes a knee to propose to Adit. Asking for his hand in marriage, she recalls her previous thoughts on marriage being a burden but has since changed her mind after seeing the dignity and happiness of married women. She wants to experience the special bond with Adit, which is marked by sindur and mangalsutra. Shocked, Adit replies with disbelief due to Somaiya’s past views on marriage. However, she insists on marrying him and asks for his agreement.
It’s Lakshmi who remembers what Karthik said. He makes her eat. He wonders why he didn’t tell Mangal. I felt cheated again. Somaiya says we love each other. Our next step should be marriage. She hugs him. Mangal tells me Lakshmi’s love has been won. My next focus is on my marriage and kids.
She shows him the mangalsutra and asks him to make me wear it. Adit says what? Are you going to wear the mangal sutra? Did you steal it from the mandap? She says I mean it. She thinks I’ll wear it. Mangal is coming there. Adit asks why you’re acting like a child. It’s not a joke. She says but..
Mangal gets respect for being your wife. I want the same dingy. Adit looks at the door. You know what I feel for you, so why are you torturing me? Adit says I am being tortured because people bring me down for not being married.
The mangal asks, “Are you ready?” Adit asks, “Why do you want to come to my room?” She says she called to call you for dinner. People keep calling you. He says he’s changing. Everything can’t be according to what people want. Please don’t ruin it. She says a cloth is stuck on the door. That’s Somaiya’s dress.
Adit says, “I’ll see it.” Somaiya says, “You taunted me?” He says, “You always told me you didn’t want to be Mangal, and now you are torturing me?” She says, “I don’t want to be a secret anymore.” He says, “Stop it. Please go from here.” Somaiya cries. He leaves.
Lakshmi claims that I mentioned. Our lives are ruined, claims Karthik. Everything has concluded. Lakshmi, Kusum thinks you’re beginning a new life. Today is a nervous day for all the females. I’m sure Karthik will be glad for you. Saying that Karthik will always love and respect Lakshmi, Mangal hugs her. She found her true love. She’s going to be in my family.
Kusum says you both have a new relationship now. He thinks we should bid. Lakshmi leaves the venue. Gayatri says Lakshmi, go to your new life. Lakshmi remembers Karthik saying he loved someone else. Lakshmi hugs Mangal and cries. Mangal asks if everything is okay. Lakshmi says I just felt emotional. I feel so alone right now.
Mangal says Karthik is with you now. You have a mother like Gayatri now. My mother helped me with everything. Lakshmi says I’ll face anything if you’re with me. Mangal hugs her. Karthik always takes care of my sister and never hurts her. Lakshmi meets everyone. Adit wishes your love to last forever.
Karthik says it’s okay. The kids come there. They say we want to go with Karthik. Gayatri says let’s go now. Lakshmi says it’s okay. They go home.
