She insists that Arohi’s name is unlucky for the family, even blaming it for her previous injury.
Arohi stands firm and refuses to agree. She says her name is her identity and a blessing given by her parents. She explains that she will never abandon the name that connects her to her family and her values. Her calm but determined words surprise everyone in the room.
Kailash supports Bua’s demand, saying the rule has always been part of their household customs. But before the situation worsens, Anuradha intervenes. She recalls how she, Badra, and Kanika were also forced to change their names when they entered the family, even though they disliked it. She boldly declares that she will not allow Arohi to go through the same suffering.
The tension rises until Abhishek enters. At first, it seems like he sides with his father, but he soon shocks everyone by supporting Arohi. He says that if following the rule is necessary, then her new name will be Arohi Shinde Dewan. His clever statement honours the family’s tradition while allowing Arohi to retain her full identity. The family remains silent as Arohi thanks him for understanding her feelings.
Abhishek then confronts Anuradha, revealing that he knows she faked her paralysis and bribed a doctor to keep the act alive. He expresses how deeply hurt he feels that his own mother deceived him just to create distance between him and Arohi. A remorseful Anuradha breaks down and apologises.
Despite Abhishek’s support, Kailash remains unmoved and orders Arohi to clean the entire house as punishment for defying his authority. Before Arohi can respond, Anuradha steps forward and says she will share the burden, refusing to let Arohi face it alone. Arohi and Abhishek stand beside her, showing their unity and mutual respect.
Seeing this bond strengthen, Bua pretends to change her stance. She announces that Arohi will now oversee household matters and make all key decisions. Kanika, however, grows suspicious of Bua’s sudden change in behaviour, sensing a hidden motive behind her words.
Later, Devika is moved to a different room. The nurse tries to place her in a dark corner as per Bua’s instruction, but Arohi intervenes and insists that Devika should be shifted to a room with sunlight, which will help her recovery. Bua reluctantly agrees, hiding her frustration behind a fake smile.
