In hopes of Shlok admitting that she is his wife, Sumeet sneaks alcohol into his coffee. However, before he can take a sip, Poonam calls to remind him to come home on time for the engagement, which she wants to happen during an auspicious time. Shlok mentions buying bangles for Bitti, prompting Sumeet to wear them and insist that he drinks the spiked coffee first. After downing the coffee in one go, Sumeet eagerly waits for Shlok to finally reveal what happened on their wedding day.
As Shlok’s grandmother tries to convince Poonam to wait for 21 days until Sumeet’s challenge is completed, Bitti’s mother shares a picture of Sumeet and Raunak with the family. Despite still being intoxicated, Sumeet questions Shlok about holding Poonam’s hand during the wedding. To Sumeet’s disappointment, Shlok admits that he was trying to stop her from marrying Raunak but she insisted on it. Curious about his motivations, Sumeet hopes for a declaration of love but Shlok deflects and claims he left because of Sumeet’s unfavorable comparison of his wealth and status to Raunak’s. Wondering why Shlok ultimately returned and married Poonam, Sumeet asks the question directly but is met with evasion from Shlok.
Bitti’s mother expresses her concern to Shlok’s family about Sumeet’s attempts to prove her marriage. She notes that Sumeet is wealthy and capable of manipulation. Poonam firmly refuses to accept Sumeet and instead welcomes Bitti into the family by placing a traditional veil on her head. She promises to have Bitti marry Shlok. Meanwhile, Raunak takes out his frustration by punching a boxing bag while Vani frets over his injured wrist. She reveals her unsuccessful attempts to convince Sumeet to marry Raunak, as she stubbornly insisted that Shlok was her husband. Raunak now plans to seek retribution in his own way.
As Sumeet persists in her efforts to uncover the truth from Shlok, he stands by his claim of going to the office on their wedding night. Curious about his late-night visit, Sumeet questions him further. In the midst of it all, Shlok seizes the opportunity to take the mic and a few onlookers even start recording. As he begins to ramble and stumble, Sumeet tries to support him. However, Shlok accuses her of turning his life into a mockery and causing people to label him as a gold digger. His behavior becomes erratic, declaring himself a wonderboy but is soon interrupted by a loudspeaker crash that hinders Sumeet from hearing clearly. He repeatedly denies being her husband.
After Sumeet throws water on Shlok’s face and causes the audience to laugh, she apologizes for spiking his coffee. However, Shlok remains adamant about the truth of his words and in frustration, storms out of the place. Later, while overhearing a conversation about a holy thread that protects husbands, Sumeet decides to tie one for herself as well. Unfortunately, her mangalsutra gets tangled while receiving blessings. Suddenly, Sumeet is approached by a group of men who beat her up and kidnap Shlok. As her mangalsutra breaks during the altercation, a woman warns her that her husband is in danger. Meanwhile, Shlok is taken hostage by Raj who wants to prevent him from getting engaged.

I’ll call the cab company; they must have the last location of the bike. Raj asks his goons to look after Shlok until his engagement time is over. When Raunak walks in with his goons, he tortures Shlok with his men. Raunak says this is payback time for Shlok. Sumeet finds out Shlok is hanging above burning coal at Preetam Da Dhaba. He shouts his name when he reaches the spot.
