Sumeet goes to the Indian embassy to meet with an officer, but grows suspicious upon seeing a worker covering his face and tidying up the room. She realizes that she cannot directly speak with the officer in this setting, as there is a possibility that Bilawal could discover her true intentions regarding Shlok. In order to avoid any potential complications, she decides to extend an invitation to the officer for a ceremony and departs. It dawns on her that the worker is actually one of Bilawal’s associates. Sumeet makes her exit from the office, knowing that she will need to find another way to communicate with the officer. Remaining cautious, she resolves not to let her guard down until Shlok and Akki are safely back in India with her.
Bilawal shares his doubts with his subordinates regarding a dead body that doesn’t seem to be Shlok’s. Shlok becomes concerned, and Bilawal intends to confirm Shlok’s death by inspecting the deceased body’s face.
As Sumeet meets Adil, who is bound to a chair, she offers him some food. She urges him not to complicate things by attempting to escape. Pleading with Adil to have faith in her and understand that she means well, Sumeet eventually convinces him to trust her. Agreeing reluctantly, Adil is untied by Sumeet. However, he reacts by pushing her away and making a dash for the exit. Just then, Shlok enters and restrains Adil, tying him up once more. Feeling hurt by Adil’s lack of trust in their intentions, both Sumeet and Shlok conceal Adil’s presence by hiding him behind some clothes covered with a saree. Despite his efforts to break free, Adil remains bound and unable to escape.
Sumeet’s injury is noticed by Shlok, and he helps her. Shlok discusses Bilawal, who is systematically blocking their return to India. Shlok wishes Bilawal would believe he is dead, but Sumeet implores him not to say such things and wishes him a long life. She presents Shlok with a box of vermilion, which he applies to her hairline. They share an emotional hug.
Sumeet is visited by Naaz. Shlok hides behind the door during the puja. Naaz hands Sumeet photos taken during the puja and mentions that she won’t be receiving any further assistance because of Sumeet’s actions toward Adil. Naaz eventually leaves, hoping Sumeet won’t notice the vermilion on her forehead.
Raj surprises Shlok’s family with clothing gifts in India. Dadi misses Shlok and Sumeet, while Poonam worries about their safety. He assures them that Sumeet will bring Shlok and Akki home. As part of his gift, Priyanka is also asked to try on the dress he bought for her. However, her sister becomes annoyed. Someone secretly records Priyanka changing, unbeknownst to her. Raj is delighted to see Priyanka in the new dress.
In Pakistan, Naaz shares with Bilawal about her recent encounter with Sumeet. She notices the vermilion on Sumeet’s hairline and wonders if her husband is still alive. Expressing her strong dislike for Sumeet, she talks about seeking revenge by hurting Sumeet’s husband. Bilawal agrees to support Naaz’s plan and offers a reward for its success. However, Naaz clarifies that her motivation is not the reward but rather getting back at Sumeet for harming Adil. The next day, as Shlok and Sumeet pray for divine help to go back to India, Naaz approaches them with fake friendliness and suggests that they stay at her house. This leaves Sumeet puzzled.
