The Episode opens with a man arriving at the Gurudwara and offering prayers for his daughter. The young girl is then shown dancing and playing music on the terrace. Jassi, who notices her, calls out to her. The girl confidently announces that she will be leaving with Gurpreet and instructs her family to tell others that she is not mentally ill, as they believe Gurpreet will never return for her. This declaration causes Megha to break down in tears. Meanwhile, the neighbors mock Jassi while on a jog, but Megha stands up for her daughter and confronts them boldly. When her father arrives at the scene, he asks what’s going on and greets Jassi before inviting them all home for some fresh milk and mango milkshake, which he believes Manoj’s parents will enjoy.
Megha talks to her friends online. She asks her about the guy’s family coming to see her today. Her mother asks her husband not to set conditions. It is nice to see him and his family, and he is an NRI living in Georgia, so think that if she gets married and goes abroad, her life is set. He asks why I don’t ask them for details. He says you trust me, and I will ask them everything, don’t put conditions, keep patience. He says you don’t want me to enter the guy’s family.
Mom speaks to them; she is happy. Dad doesn’t say anything wrong; he does it for my benefit. Megha makes a reel. Goldie Bua makes a reel. She argues with the storekeeper. Goldie comes home. She sees Megha’s bruise and says, “Jassi did this. You should look beautiful today.” She worries. She sees Manoj and his family coming. Manoj smiles at Megha.
Her shyness leads her to leave. Manoj describes his job at a mall in Georgia. Jeetu says we asked our neighbor about you, who said you didn’t work at that mall. Manoj says there are two malls, and I work at mall number 2. She apologizes, “Don’t get upset.” Goldie says she choreographs. Megha says she teaches dance. Megha comes over.
Goldie must show Manoj the house. He takes Manoj to the roof top, where she drinks the mango milkshake. He gives her a kerchief. She apologizes; she’s nervous. He asks how you can be nervous; you look beautiful. They talk. Jeetu says, “I’m an assistant sub-inspector.” She smiles.
When Manoj’s dad asks why Megha’s dad doesn’t say anything, he says, “We only have one son, no dowry, but a grand wedding is in order.” Goldie agrees. She stops him from talking. He worries. She tells him to take insulin. She takes him to the room and says, “I don’t trust you, so I asked you to stay quiet.” He says I’m Megha’s dad. She says I’m her Bua.
She asks him not to say anything to break Megha’s alliance. Megha says this is my favorite place, and I am happy coming here. Manoj says if you like me and say yes, you will lose your favorite place and miss festivals, so how will you deal with that? Throughout childhood, girls were taught about these changes, accepted them as they happened, and adjusted to the new world. She asks if there were heavy phone bills in Georgia. He says there is WiFi, so you can talk to your parents as much as possible. She smiles.
Upon coming downstairs, Manoj nods. Everyone gets happy and feeds him sweets. Megha asks about her father and finds the room locked. She opens the door. He asks if the relationship has been fixed. She says, “No.” She takes him downstairs. She says he can eat sweets and doesn’t need insulin. He says we opened a bank account on the day of Megha’s birth, and we have 25 lakhs in it.
When asked what happened, Manoj’s dad asked if the bank had been looted. Megha’s dad answered, “No, I won’t waste the money on her wedding. I’ll spend one lakh and have it in Gurudwara.” Manoj’s mom asked where the baraatis would eat.
According to Megha’s dad, they will eat Langar Prasad, but I have seen it where people just come to eat in marriage and backbite behind his back, so why should I invite such people to my daughter’s wedding? I want to secure my daughter’s future by giving her an FD. The mother of Manoj says, “We have one son. We must keep our standards up.” Manoj’s dad says fine, we’ll listen to you. You give Megha a FD to Megha, her mother works, so she will spend in marriage.
