In the meantime, Kalpana burns a photo of Parvathi and Raghav. She tells Parvathi she is not here to solve their issues but avenge them. She intends to use Raghav, a good person, against Parvathi. As soon as Chithra arrives, she assures Kalpana that she will support her, believing that Parvathi took away Kalpana’s rights while Raghav and his sister gained everything. Kalpana promises to change things once Vani marries Raghav.
Bela asks Mishri where she has been since she returned home. Mishri hugs Bela and says she misunderstood her; Bela chose a good partner for her. Meanwhile, Sulekha tells Parvathi that she once broke a promise to Kalpana and can’t repeat it. Parvathi insists that Raghav convince him. Parvathi proposes marrying Kalpana’s daughter as soon as Raghav arrives to discuss Vani.
Vani stands firm in her decision not to get married, asserting her autonomy. Mishri, in a fit of rage, rips up the wedding invitation she shows to Sakti. Raghav also declines Kalpana’s offer for his daughter’s hand in marriage, confessing his love for someone who has spanned over three years. Parvathi remembers Sulekha’s cautionary words and slaps Raghav, reprimanding him for even considering a love marriage after the family’s past experiences. However, Grandpa defends Raghav by stating there is nothing wrong with loving someone. Sulekha supports Parvathi’s actions, while Chithra observes the unfolding events satisfactorily.
In spite of Raghav’s understanding of why Sulekha slapped him, he refuses to agree with their decision and leaves the room. Sulekha urges Parvathi to convince Raghav for Kalpana’s sake. Kalpana explains that she met Raghav, a down-to-earth businessman who would make a good match for Vani. Vani agrees to meet him, saying she won’t marry anyone else.
Sakthi tells Grandma why he tore the invitation card. When Bela steps on Sakthi’s leg, he says he wanted to print a better invitation as the village president because he didn’t like it. Grandma fears tearing the first invitation means a bad omen, but Bela and her son convince her otherwise.
In response to her father’s question, Vani reveals that she is not interested in marrying the person her mom selected and asks if her father knows her lover. He responds that he understands her, emphasizing the fact that her happiness is what matters. Vani assures him that her choice is a good one. Bela asks Grandma where she is taking Mishri, and Grandma explains that they will perform a puja with the invitation. Sakthi disapproves.
