Keshav joins her in prayer while Riddhi smirks confidently, sure that Mishri won’t advance beyond the initial round. Riddhi remembers how she had switched out Mishri’s textbook, convinced that even Raghav’s help wouldn’t be enough. The host introduces the participants to the audience and explains that questions will appear on the screen, and they must press a button to answer.
Noticing Mishri’s calm demeanour, Raghav shares with Vaani that she may feel nervous inside. Vaani realizes that Raghav keenly understands Mishri, even without her saying anything. As the questioning commences, Raghav and Vaani offer their best wishes to Mishri and Riddhi. As everyone else begins answering, Mishri stays quiet, feeling overwhelmed by using English, a language she finds challenging.
The anchor ends the first round by announcing that Mishri and Keshav have scored zero, leading to their disqualification. This news leaves Raghav disappointed, causing him to confide in Vaani. Meanwhile, Riddhi taunts Mishri, claiming she neither deserves the scholarship nor is skilled enough to compete. She further mocks Mishri’s background, belittling her abilities by saying she is no match for them.
In response, Mishri asks the students to step forward if they do not fit the criteria of being poor, owning a car, or needing a scholarship to continue their studies. As they comply, Mishri and Keshav remain in their original positions. She points out that while some may possess material wealth, she and Keshav do not. She argues that the competition is unfairly tilted towards those fluent in English, a language she struggles with. Riddhi dismisses her and suggests she accept defeat, but Mishri challenges her by posing an English question that Riddhi cannot answer. Mishri then explains the question and emphasizes how helpless she felt when confronted with inquiries she could not comprehend.
Mishri advocates for equal opportunities, believing the competition favours students proficient in Hindi. Raghav shares Mishri’s view and is backed by the audience, although the ultimate ruling rests with the University’s leader. Meanwhile, Ranjith envisions the backlash he could face if his loved ones discovered the reality, prompting him to eliminate Mishri and their child.
Afterwards, Mishri attempts to converse with Samarth, but he insults her by mentioning her background. Despite this, her quick-witted response impresses him, and he gives her five minutes to plead her case. However, Samarth remains adamant about maintaining the rules despite her compelling arguments. His strictly business-oriented approach disheartens Mishri. Raghav offers words of encouragement, reminding her that she is still his top priority and urging her not to lose faith. Vaani feels uneasy witnessing this exchange.
