Shiv Shakti 16th May 2024 Written Update starts with Shakti noticing footprints on the floor, proving that Gayatri’s ghost is not real. She informs the family that someone is pretending to be a spirit. However, Dadi is unconvinced and says they all saw Gayatri’s ghost and never performed her last rites properly. She insists Gayatri’s soul didn’t get peace and is now wandering as a ghost. Shakti suspects Mandira, but Mandira defends herself, saying she nearly got burned—why would she harm herself?
Shakti returns to her room, reflecting on recent events. Seeing Shiv asleep, she holds his hand, emotionally confessing that things are worsening. Shiv wakes up and comforts her, unaware of the growing conspiracy. Shakti is heartbroken and determined to protect Shiv and expose the truth.
Later, Shakti quietly enters Ragunath’s room and takes Gayatri’s slippers. She compares them with the mysterious footprints from earlier and discovers they don’t match. However, a different pair does match perfectly. This confirms that the ghost impersonation was staged.
Shakti confronts Padma, accusing her of helping Mandira. Padma tries to deny it, but Shakti reveals that her slippers match the ghost’s footprints, and her perfume was also detected in the corridor. Shakti demands the truth. Padma finally breaks down and reveals the truth in a shocking flashback.
Flashback: Mandira blackmailed Padma to act as Gayatri’s ghost. Padma initially refused and declared loyalty to Shakti. But Mandira threatened her, saying she would harm her and her son Nandu, just like she killed Gauri. Scared for Nandu’s life, Padma was forced to obey Mandira’s plan.
In the present, Padma begs Shakti not to reveal her role, fearing the family’s reaction. But Shakti insists she must confess or face police action. Shakti promises to protect Nandu no matter what.
Meanwhile, Mandira enters Shiv’s room, discovering that Shakti is not there. As expected, she begins her next sinister move. Disguised as Gayatri again, she plays an audio recording of Gayatri’s voice, accusing Shiv of murder. Shiv wakes up and panics upon hearing “Maa” call him a killer. Overwhelmed with guilt and fear, he screams out for Shakti in terror.
