Dadi says I don’t know what’s happening in this house, but Shakti tells Mandira she will expose her soon. Shakti leaves. Gayatri prays for Shakti, and Shiv plays table tennis in his office. He recalls Shakti blaming him for lying and losing focus. Having won today, Nandu says, “I won.” Shiv replies, “Yes, I have lost both in life and love.”
Nandu says, ” You love Shakti?” Shiv says, “I don’t have any love left to give.” I thought Shakti would bring me back to life, but I should not have been expecting anything. She gave me hope and broke me beyond repair. I was ready to start a new life with Shakti, but she gave me hope and took it away from me.
Dadi says you have to go there to finish your studies. Kartik says I wouldn’t say I like it there. Raghunath scolds him.
She is trying to start her scooter, but it doesn’t start. She says she will miss her class. She says I need my notes, so she returns to the house. Kartik pleaded with Raghunath not to send him back. Dadi gets angry and is about to slap Raghunath, but Shakti stops him. He tells Dadi that his stepmother is evil, he doesn’t want to leave his father alone, and he won’t return to school.
Kartik doesn’t need to live in the school; he can learn family values here. It is our responsibility to raise him. She tells him to stop hitting people who are weaker than him. Stop it, Raghunath says. You called us liars and have no say in what happens to us. We will decide what to do about Kartik because you are not a member of our family. Kartik will go back to school.
It’s true, Shakti. I have no place in this house. Shiv has a right to make a decision about Kartik, so let’s ask him. Mandira comes over and asks, “Do you think Shiv will change his mind because of you?” Shiv has always wanted Kartik to go back to school. She shows him the letter that Shiv signed saying he wants Kartik to go back to school. Kartik is sad when she tells him that.
Mandira tells Shakti that Shiv wants Kartik to go back. Shakti wonders why Shiv would want Kartik apart from him. Mandira tells Kartik to get ready, and then he leaves. Raghunath thanks Mandira and leaves. Shakti tells Mandira that you must be happy to hurt Kartik. I am challenging you to be sure Kartik will not return to the hostel, and Mandira responds, “I accept your challenge.” You don’t know that Shiv doesn’t want Kartik with him, but I will win both challenges tonight.
Shiv is not in Shiv’s office when Shakti arrives at the hospital. As she enters the class, the professor scolds her for being late. Shakti apologizes and asks if she can be allowed in. The professor says, “You think you can do anything because you are Shiv’s wife?” Shakti asks.
When Shakti sees Shiv hiding, she asks why he’s even using the professor to punish her. Shiv says he can’t stop the professor from punishing you. The professor agrees. He asks Shakti to run laps on the ground as a punishment. Shiv says that’s unfair. Shakti smiles at Shiv and says, “I accept. If I can make things right by getting punished, then I accept.”
