Keertan physically attacks Shakti while Shiv is present, leading Mandira to believe that Shiv only puts on a show for others and truly cares when his loved ones are in pain. Despite Keertan’s instruction for Shakti not to retaliate, stating it as a way for her to prove Shiv’s innocence, it is Keertan seeking revenge for previous instances of being slapped. In an attempt to stop the violence, Shiv pleads with Keertan to spare Shakti’s well-being and admits that it is a terrible act. However, Mandira insists on continuing the beating until she sees some reaction from Shiv.
Manorama and others arrive at the scene. She pleads, “Please stop hurting my daughter.” Mandira justifies, “We’re only pretending to harm Shakti to provoke a reaction from Shiv. Isn’t that right, doctor?” Manorama disagrees, “This is unacceptable! He’s treating her like an animal.” The commissioner reminds them, “This is a legal matter. Do not interfere.” Manorama insists, “You cannot harm my daughter!” However, Keertan pays no attention and continues to assault Shakti.
Shiv pleads for her to be left alone, but Keertan insists that if Shiv truly cares, she should attempt to stop him. Despite Shiv’s lack of action, Manorama speaks up and expresses concern that her daughter will be harmed. The commissioner finally intervenes and declares that enough is enough. Shakti then reminds them that they now have their response.
The doctor has declared that the test is complete. Unfortunately, Shiv did not respond, which suggests he has a mental capacity similar to that of a child. Manorama strongly disagrees with this assessment and accuses Mandira of intentionally hurting Shakti for personal satisfaction. However, Mandira defends herself by explaining that they only pretended to uncover the truth. But Manorama is not convinced and angrily exclaims that she will not let them get away with hurting her daughter.
Shakti is huddled in a corner, overcome with a sense of sorrow. Shiv notices her and gently remarks that she must be feeling downtrodden because of his actions. He then offers comfort by tending to her injured cheek with a soothing cloth. A faint smile appears on Shakti’s face as she utters that as long as he remains by her side, she will have no pain. Taking advantage of the intimate moment, Mandira captures their interaction on video before discreetly leaving the scene.
Kamal expresses concern for Mandira as Raghunath steps in and confronts him for insulting him publicly. He reminds Kamal not to let his son cloud his judgment, as he is a seasoned criminal who ran a racket and even murdered his mother before pretending to be mentally unstable. Raghunath fiercely defends his son and grabs Kamal’s collar, while Kamal continues, stating that the killer should be punished with death. Dadi intervenes and pleads for the argument to end.
Mandira hands the video to the commissioner and remarks that Shiv was seen attentively looking after his wife. Shakti joins them, and Mandira adds that if Shiv hadn’t truly loved his wife, he wouldn’t have bothered to care for her. This indicates that he is only pretending and acting out of sight. The commissioner responds, stating that they will need to conduct another test.
According to Shakti, it has been established that he is mentally unstable, and he used to comfort me when I was a child. However, Mandira argues that this does not excuse his actions and insists on another evaluation. Shakti maintains there can be no further testing. The commissioner warns against meddling with their investigation and instructs the doctor to conduct another examination. After he departs, Mandira reminds Shakti that she cannot defeat her.
