Manorama is chatting with Shakti over the phone and expresses relief that Dadi is doing well. Curious about Dr Shiv’s condition, Manorama inquires after him, sensing Shakti’s hesitation. With concern creeping into her voice, she asks for an explanation. Shakti reveals that during their visit to the hospital, Dr Shiv publicly proclaimed his readiness to marry her. Initially causing Manorama some worry, she soon realizes it is a reason to celebrate. However, Shakti shares her observation that Dr Shiv didn’t seem happy today, making her feel awful. In response, Manorama reassures her that when Dr Shiv is genuinely content with their union, she too will be filled with joy and certainty that he couldn’t find someone better than her.
She says Shakti can make anyone fall in love with her, but Dr Shiv is a fan. Manorama makes her promise not to tell anyone, including her uncle, that she will tell her a secret. She says boys are idiots who know everything that happens in the world but do not know what is happening in their hearts and who they love. She says girls always plan their marriages, but boys do not.
Manorama says that when boys really find someone whose name they take whenever they are in trouble, such people would be their life partners. She is sure Dr Shiv will thank her when he finds the truth, and she is sure everyone will praise the couple of Shiv Shakti. She ends the call by explaining that she must light a Diya for Soumnath. Dr Shiv has disappeared, and Shakti wonders where he is.
In the house, Shiv’s mother prays and exclaims that Bhagwan should protect her mother and not let anything happen to her while this family and family relations should not be separated. Shiv, standing behind her, calls her Maa. She is shocked when he calls her Maa, turns back, and cannot control her tears. He tells her he really needs her, and she runs towards him but stops right in front of him. While Shiv is also emotional, she is still crying.
Shiv shares that he has been reflecting on the past six years and recalls numerous times when he attempted to contact her. However, his voice always faltered just as she hesitated to come closer. During this time, a mother and son were physically living under the same roof but could not reunite, and their hearts longed for each other’s presence. Now, according to Dr Shiv, they must alter the dynamics of their household. He emphatically declares that he can no longer remain silent and urges her also to act because a son desperately needs his mother’s love and attention today.
The moment Shiv became weak, his mother became his strength, and he never felt alone because he knew she was by his side. Shiv asks if she is still by his side because he feels lonely and needs her support. Shiv kneels in front of her as she stands there, and he begins to cry when he holds his hands together. She sits in front of him and hugs him tightly while they both cry.
As Shiv’s mother is still alive, how can a child ever be alone? She even heard him calling her even when he didn’t call her, but she cannot stay away from him today, she assures him that nothing will happen as she will always be by his side, kissing his forehead and asking him what has happened to him. As they said, in the feet of a mother lies heaven, Shiv used to touch the floor when he wanted to receive blessings.
Shiv rests on her lap, wondering why she withdrew her hand from his head. He recalls the comfort of hiding in her lap as a child, where she would always soothe him with a head massage. With a heavy heart, Shiv asks why she took away a mother’s love from him. He pleads for her to fix things again, feeling scared and weak from making wrong choices. He implores her to save him from it all, just as she used to handle problems by holding his hand.
As his mother and strength, Shiv asks her to remain the same. She recalls the girl’s cries that she does not want to die, so she gets scared when she remembers what happened six years ago. Shiv says the incident that separated them both needs to be disclosed to everyone since it’s time. He admits that he only agreed to marry Shakti because of Baggu maa, but proceeding with the marriage would ultimately ruin Shakti’s life, which is unacceptable. Shiv questions if it is morally sound to begin a relationship based on deceit and emphasizes that Gayatri is not his weakness but his source of strength. He stresses that he needs her as the mother who has always supported him.
Gayatri reminds Shiv that she did not raise him to surrender, but she realizes that by doing so, she would be setting a poor example for her children. However, today is different. She vows to be his protector and encourages him to stand tall. Shiv gratefully kisses her hands, and they both rise together. Walking hand in hand, Gayatri recalls the time when her husband threatened to remove her from their life but ultimately allowed her to stay in the house forever.
As Gayatri gazes at the house, memories of her previous attempts to leave flood. She remembers how Baggu maa had forbade her from stepping out, fearing Raghunath’s wrath. Desperate, she pleaded with Mandira to accompany her to the temple, but Mandira had warned about Shiv becoming a target of Raghunath’s anger. This had scared Shiv into refusing to leave the house. Now, as they stand at the end of the house, Gayatri knows it is time to break free from these constraints and reveal the hidden truth. All she cares about is her son’s happiness, and they both bravely exit the house together.
Nandu turns to look and is shocked to see Gayatri with Shiv coming towards them. Mandira is also shocked to see her coming towards them. Raghunath stands up and stares furiously at Gayatri, who is holding Shiv’s hand. Padma cannot believe what he sees. Raghunath is furious that Shiv brought his mother here, and Mandira wonders why.
