Padma is told by Mandira that she will destroy Shakti’s life before she can get an admission to medicine.
Shakti comes home and sees the groom’s family there. The groom asks who is she? Manorama says she is our niece, whose parents died, so I raised her. She wanted to become a doctor and we did everything to make her a doctor, so we don’t want to make her feel that we don’t believe in her dreams. As she gazes at Shakti, the groom thinks that she must have hurt Dr. Shiv. He thinks of making her part of his dream.
Manorama escorts Shakti to the kitchen, reminding her to be more cautious upon entering the house in her drenched state. Shakti apologizes for her carelessness and Manorama promptly instructs her to prepare refreshments and have Rimjhim deliver them. As she walks away, Shakti begins cooking and ponders on Shiv’s uncharacteristic mood. She reflects on their past arguments and how he always remained unfazed, leaving her puzzled about his current demeanor. Remorseful for causing him distress, she continues cooking while the groom watches her intently.
While cooking, Shakti expresses her confusion about why she cannot stop thinking about Shiv despite trying to be happy. As she nearly burns herself, Rimjhim steps in and prevents the accident. Feeling apologetic, Shakti admits she was not paying attention. However, Rimjhim voices her disapproval of a certain man and asks Shakti to persuade him to reject their proposed marriage. Shakti hesitates, explaining that it is not something she can control. Rimjhim then reminds her of the favor she did for Shakti in getting her admission and asks for reciprocation. After some persuasion, Shakti agrees to try convincing the man but acknowledges the difficulty of the task at hand. Grateful, Rimjhim thanks her and leaves.
Dadi asks Shiv why he is punishing himself while working out in anger. He told me everything, and you did the right thing. You made someone’s dream come true, and that’s a superpower you possess. Shiv hugs her and cries. He says I brought tears to her smile. I should have congratulated her, but I pushed her away, I hurt her. Dadi says sometimes our past follows us.
Let’s talk about the present only. Shiv says Shakti was locked in the store room and I didn’t ask how that happened. I hurt her more because of this. Dadi asks, what should I do? Shiv says I should apologize to her and leaves. As Gayatri stands outside the room, Dadi asks her to leave as she can take care of Shiv. Gayatri leaves. Nandu tells Dadi everything about Shakti Sharma.
Rimjhim brings juice for the groom and accidentally drops it on him. She apologizes and takes him to the washroom.
He calls the hospital and asks the receptionist for Shakti’s number, but she says the administrative office is closed today, so it will only be given tomorrow. After saying okay, Ragunath slaps Shiv hard. He is shocked. Ragunath shouts, “You dare, Shiv.” All family members rush there. Mandira smirks. She thinks Shiv should be punished for going against me.
She goes with him to wash his hands and says, “I need to talk to you.” Rimjhim is not ready for the marriage but she cannot say no, so can you say no to this marriage? He holds her hand and asks what your status is? She asks the groom Ranjan what he does here. He says he came to wash hands, and he leaves Shakti’s hand. He departs. She scolds Shakti for being near the groom.
Shiv shouts at Ragunath and asks him how dare he go against Mandira in front of everyone in the hospital? He is about to slap Shiv, but Gayatri runs and stands in front of Shiv. He pushes Gayatri away and she falls down. Mandira smirks as Shiv watches.
She has caused everything to happen, Ramanath shouts. Mandira got insulted because of her, Shiv is in this condition because of her. He is about to hit Gayatri when Shiv stands up in front of her and says enough. Ragunath slaps Shiv again and says I will put you in place. He says it’s not Gayatri’s fault for what happened in the hospital.
Shiv attempts to remain composed as Ragunath berates him. According to Ragunath, the success and stability of this household can be credited solely to Mandira. How could you disrespect her, knowing she is your elder? Who are you? You’re simply a burden on this family. Our honor and power have been safeguarded because of Mandira. How could you insult her? Do I need to remind you of your past, your vulnerabilities, and your mistakes? Ragunath is on the verge of striking Shiv again, but he is stopped by Shiv who calmly states that he would permit the hitting and cursing if he was at fault. However, in this situation, Ragunath is in the wrong. Shiv implores him not to yell or hit him since it would be unjust, something he cannot allow. Everyone watches on silently.
