Ragunath informs Shiv that he must either resign or leave the house. He is faced with a decision between his job at the hospital and caring for his father. The news shocks everyone, except for Mandira who is pleased by it. Shakti insists that Shiv not resign, but Shiv is determined. He understands the value of family and the pain of losing a loved one, and cannot go through that again. Shakti begs for more time and asks Shiv not to resign.
Shiv expresses regret, but explains that he cannot let his father down. Waiting any longer would mean disrespecting his father, so he feels the need to resign. As Shiv is about to sign the papers, Shakti abruptly takes the pen from him. She confidently reveals that she anticipated that evidence may have been tampered with, and thus brought a witness along. The group becomes bewildered as a nurse enters the room. Mandira recalls how she had instructed the nurse to keep an eye on Shakti while she was locked up. Shakti then points out to Shiv that this nurse was present outside during her confinement, but did nothing because someone had given her an order. She urges the nurse to expose who gave her this instruction. However, the nurse appears frightened as she glances at Mandira.
Shakti urges the nurse to reveal the truth. Dadi witnesses Mandira intimidating the nurse and instructs Shakti to put an end to it. We do not want outsiders as witnesses. Shakti speaks the truth, and we have no need for anyone else to verify it. I am aware that someone within our family does not want Shiv to become the MD. She glares at Mandira, saying that she caused everyone to suffer. I remained quiet until now, but no longer because I know the truth. Isn’t that right, Mandira? Everyone is perplexed. Dadi explains that she cannot let her continue destroying our family; she has already ruined everything for us. I stayed silent under the assumption that it was a family matter and Keertan is a part of our family, but I was mistaken. Shakti is fighting for Shiv’s sake while we remain silent. I will not allow Shiv to be dragged down any further. What I am about to disclose may bring shame upon our family, but Shiv and Shakti are not at fault for anything. The true culprit is… she walks over to Mandira and points at her, stating that she is responsible for everything. Everyone is taken aback
Dadi slaps Padma, accusing her of trying to ruin the family’s peace. Shiv is taken aback, while Shakti believes that this accusation is unfounded. Mandira feels that Shakti should not be let off easily and defends Padma by stating that she loves Shiv and would never do anything to harm him. However, Dadi is certain of Padma’s guilt and reveals how she overheard everything. In a flashback, it is shown that Padma had asked Nandu for information about Shakti’s plans to expose them, and then made a call to someone in order to stop her. Dadi concludes that Padma is the real culprit. Shakti suspects that Mandira is playing mind games again and Mandira confirms this, feeling like she always has the upper hand as a mastermind. She taunts Shakti by stating that she can never defeat her in their ongoing battle.
