Seeing Bindiya’s qualities, Baldev tells Indu and others that he has chosen her. Bindiya says she didn’t do it for prize. Baldev insists and says he’ll give her a banarasi saree as a prize. Indu says we should do rasam. She makes Bindiya and Krish’s tilaks and gives Bindiya shagun. Nidhi and Vikram also give Bindiya shagun. Payal gets shocked by this.
Bindiya envisions dancing with Krish, as Baldev bestows his blessings upon the couple. The father of the groom then inquires about the shagun jewellery, to which Sakshi admits she has left at home. Indu reassures them that they will bring it when they come for the engagement. However, Dadi voices her concern that they have already given enough. Baldev explains that their customs require them to give something, and asks Indu to offer her bangles to Bindiya instead. This prompts Indu to question how she can give away her precious ancestral bangles. Baldev assures her that eventually, those bangles will be passed down to their daughters-in-law, so there should be no issue in giving them now.
Nidhi thinks everything is of bahus and not of beti. Bindiya tells Baldev she just wants their blessings and not any jewellery. Baldev says bangles are part of blessings. He asks Indu to give her the bangles. Indu forces Bindiya to wear them. The bangle is about to fall from her hand. Krish holds it and makes her wear it. This Bindiya smiles as she snatches this. Payal thinks she has the right on it, but this Bindiya has the right to it too.
A chain is made by Dadi for Krish. Sakshi tells Nidhi that if her eyes thinned, she couldn’t see it. Dadi gives shagun stuff to everyone and gives just a sweet box to Nidhi, saying if she knew she was coming, she would have bought something. Nidhi says it’s not your fault. As she sees Dadi giving sweets to Ishwar and Nikku, she thinks they are keeping us the same standard as drivers.
Krish is invited to Baldev’s house. He goes to get his phone. Payal comes behind him and asks him if he likes Bindiya. He thanks her for helping him meet such a wonderful girl. Payal says I know you’re hurt, I’m hurt, but you should marry Bindiya only. Krish says you have no right to touch me. Bindiya comes there and sees them holding hands. Krish leaves. Bindiya says he is good.
Sakshi explains to Indu that the gift they had presented was quite inexpensive. Nidhi adds that at least something was given, although she only received an envelope and a box of sweets. Sakshi then calls the servant over to pass on the gifts to his wife. Baldev watches with disappointment. The neighbor shares their initial belief that Payal would be in charge while Bindiya would struggle, but it seems to be the opposite. Payal declares she will be the one in control and gets into a disagreement with Bindiya. Showing off her bangles to the neighbors, Bindiya proves her strength. Baldev reminds them to appreciate the sentiment behind their actions. To which Sakshi mentions it was just a mere 21 Rs as shagun.
According to the neighbor, Dadi gave a shagun of 2100 Rs. Phoolmati remembers putting the money in envelopes with 21 Rs each. Baldev instructs Nidhi to bring Pankaj next time, and she leaves. Bindiya returns Payal’s necklace to her, who mentions having something to return at an opportune moment. Bindiya accepts and notices a half-eaten chocolate left for her by Krishna. She excitedly goes to eat it while Payal disposes of the wrapper. Krish tells Nikku that Payal is envious of their relationship and will not let him move on with anyone else. Meanwhile, Payal believes that Bindiya is just being used as a pawn for her to marry Krish.
