Indu asks Bindiya what she is saying…suhaag suhaag, and Krish has filled Payal’s maang with Sindoor, so she thinks she should put ghee on the fire. She tells Indu that Sindoor is not the only thing important in a marriage, and that other things also play a role. Krish says love is as important as sindoor and mangalsutra for a happy marriage as the mangalsutra. Payal is asked to bring the mangalsutra that she keeps with her.
After that, Bindiya goes to her room. She takes out the mangalsutra happily, says she has kept it safe for today, and says everyone in the house has spoken for me, and Buddha couldn’t do much to help, and Bindiya has nothing but tears to shed. In her room, Bindiya cries. Payal tells her that the house, status, luxury, and Krish are hers. She smiles and says bechari mode is on. She acts sad.
Krish says something to Indiya, and she cries. She recalls their marriage. She then washes her face. Payal comes downstairs. Krish holds her hand and takes her to the hall. Then he shouts Bindiya, telling her to come out. Bindiya asks where are you hiding, come out. Bindiya asks did you call me? He says that my bad days are not here. I called you to open your blindfold and show you your value. He takes mangalsutra and makes Payal wear it, in front of Bindiya.
As Baldev and Bindiya’s eyes welled up, Krish pointed out that she used to cherish her mangalsutra and asked her to notice that even Payal has one with his name on it. Sakshi informed Indu that Bindiya was neither crying nor laughing. Indu scolded Bindiya for having the audacity to stay there. Bindiya clarified that a man putting a locket around a woman’s neck does not make it a mangalsutra; as true mangalsutras are tied in front of a sacred fire with mantras being recited. She explained that her locket was simply that – a locket, which she had bought during Payal’s marriage to Rudra, bearing his name. This made Krish furious.
Krish pleads with her to cease her foolishness, to which Bindiya responds by insisting that what she speaks is the truth, no matter how unpleasant. Exasperated, Krish urges her to depart. However, Bindiya refuses to budge, prompting Krish to threaten twisting his finger. In a fit of anger, he hurls Bindiya’s suitcase outside, causing her clothes to scatter. Turning his attention to Payal, Krish invites her to share his room. Delighted at the realization of her long-held desire, Payal gleefully accepts while thinking about Bindiya being left behind. Krish then instructs the servant to move Payal’s belongings into his room. Sakshi chimes in with relief that the suspense surrounding Krish’s wife has finally been resolved.
When Bindiya comes out and picks up her clothes, Payal smirks. She tells her that Baba told her that the hanging roots are damaging the tree, but they can’t harm the tree since they will be cut and thrown away. I am like that tree, she says, and the hanging roots can be strong, but they cannot throw me out. Payal says I feel pity for you for giving me lectures instead of hiding your face and Bindiya says I will fight for my rights.
