The opening scene shows Suman frantically calling Teerth and pleading with him to unlock the door. She reveals her concern for Rishi’s safety and urges Teerth to take action. Despite waking up, Teerth falls back asleep. Suman then turns to God, expressing her belief that Rishi will not be safe until she reaches him. Frustrated by her failed attempts, she tries reaching out to Malini but is met with a busy nurse. Determined, she uses the landline to contact Malini and inquire about Rishi’s well-being. Reassured by Malini’s response, Suman asks her to go check on Rishi personally.
According to Malini, the Nurse prevented her from entering. Devika and Gitanjali observe Suman from a distance as she reassures herself that Rishi is in good health. Gulshan’s presence continues to haunt her. However, Malini enters and believes Rishi is resting peacefully, ensuring no harm comes to him. Once outside, Gulshan takes advantage of the situation and turns off Rishi’s ventilator. Malini checks Rishi’s well-being and asks if Suman is also doing well. Suman confirms that she is indeed fine.
Gitanjali is relieved that Rishi has recovered. However, her relief turns to horror as she witnesses Gulshan suffocating him with the oxygen pipe, causing his death. In his final moments, Suman consumes Rishi’s thoughts. Gulshan reassures him that Suman will be safe before fleeing the scene. Later, when the nurse arrives to check on Rishi’s IV drip, she discovers that he has passed away and immediately calls for a doctor.
Malini loudly scolds the nurse, attracting the attention of Hema and Bhumi, who are equally surprised by her outburst. She then yells for Rishi as his lifeless body is being wheeled out of the ward. Desperately pleading for him to wake up, Malini is restrained by the nurse and other staff members. The doctor informs them that Rishi’s body will be taken for a postmortem and advises them to call Teerth and Suman. Hema quickly shares her concerns, urging them not to refer to her son as just a “body.”
Devika approaches Suman and reminds her that today is her muh dikhayi, however she reminds her not to show her face to everyone. She notes the difference in their levels of respect, assures that she is ready, and suggests Suman to prepare herself as well.
Teerth inquires Gitanjali about her actions of confining him in the room and proceeds to search for his phone. Upon discovering it was uncharged and turned off, he insisted on taking Suman to the hospital. However, Gitanjali objects due to the muh dikhayi ceremony scheduled for that day. Teerth expresses his frustration at their rejection of Suman and their insistence on conducting the ceremony. Meanwhile, Gitanjali informs Suman about the upcoming ritual and encourages her to get ready. However, Suman expresses her concern over Rishi’s well-being and mentions going to the hospital before attending the ceremony. Devika asks Gitanjali to allow Suman some time to visit the hospital.
Devika refuses and reminds Chandrakant that they have a scheduled mahurat at 7:30 am, giving her only 30 minutes to return. He unlocks the door and warns her that leaving now would mean ending her relationship with Teerth. Suman hesitates but ultimately decides to take a step back. Chandrakant addresses her as Mittal bahu and brings up the previous day’s incident where she caused him much trouble. He questions if she wants to disappoint her father-in-law as well. Furthermore, he informs her that Gitanjali and Devika have invited some guests tonight, which would be a massive insult if she left. With an authoritative tone, he points out that her family seems to matter more than them.
According to Malini and Bhumi, Suman, and Teerth, the landline number cannot be reached. The doctor has confirmed that she can take the body. However, Suman expresses her desire to learn about her brother’s well-being. Chandrakant reminds her that she has already asked about it and cautions her against causing any scene at the event. Suman still wishes for Rishi’s safety.
