The episode begins with Chandrakant instructing Suman to contact Rishi in two hours and cautions her against any mishaps during the ceremony. He reminds her to prepare herself and join the function. Suman remembers that it was Rishi’s wish for her to fulfil this relationship, and she is determined to do so at any expense. Rishi’s family has now brought his deceased body home, as everyone mourns his loss. Gulshan stands by, contentedly gazing at him. The pandit requests them to join their hands in prayer as it is time to bid farewell to the departed soul.
Malini queries Hema about the current situation, as Sumi has yet to arrive. Meanwhile, Suman decides to hurry and leave but realizes Dulari forgot to hand over the charger. Just then, Teerth enters the room and apologizes for his behaviour yesterday. Suman reassures him it’s alright and asks if he has any updates on Rishi. Teerth responds that his phone is switched off but believes he is safe, recalling how happy Rishi seemed during their wedding.
After the rasam, we’ll head over there. Pandit ji requests a quick departure. Malini instructs Bhumi to hurry and fetch Suman. Tears flow from their eyes. Malini assures Suman that she will make it in time to bid farewell to her brother, even if she has to break through walls. Teerth and Suman arrive for muh dikhayi ceremony. Teerth holds her hand and promises to take her there after the ceremony.
Devika breaks the hold between them and escorts Suman to mingle with the guests. Chandrakant’s baby sister compliments Suman’s appearance and commends Devika for embracing Kritika’s co-wife. However, Chandrakant interrupts and requests her to cease her flattery. Gitanjali informs Ganesh ji that she has officially accepted Suman as Teerth’s spouse and beseeches him to bless their union. She then approaches Suman and Teerth and invites everyone to admire Suman’s reflection in the mirror while setting aside the presents on a tray.
As soon as the rasam is over, nanad and dewar will appear. Just as she is about to catch a glimpse, Bhumi interrupts by calling Suman’s name and addressing Rishi Bhaiyya. Suman is taken aback and uncovers her veil. However, Bhumi repeats that Rishi Bhaiyya is gone.
Suman and Teerth are both in disbelief, and the others around them mirror their shock. Suman jumps up, exclaiming that her beloved Rishi cannot leave her. In her frenzy, she accidentally knocks over the tray of sindoor and gifts. She continues to insist that Rishi cannot leave her side and makes a move to flee. Undeterred, Suman declares that nothing or no one can stop her today, not even God himself. Despite Devika’s attempts to intervene again, Suman forcefully pushes past her and runs away. Fortunately, Guru is nearby and lends a helping hand to Suman as she picks herself up from the floor.
Devika mockingly mentions that the daughter-in-law left with feet sporting a new hue. She then summons Teerth, who inquires if she is unaware of the situation and informs her that her brother has passed away. He exits the room. Devika apologises to the guests and asserts that not everyone has morals like hers. She further states that their father and mother-in-law control everything. She trusts that her father will not allow Suman to re-enter their household.
According to Chandrakant, you have fulfilled the duties of a jethani by welcoming Chaat Wali. As Suman runs on the road, Bhumi and Teerth follow closely behind. Chandrakant explains that Chaat wali’s brother has passed away, making it inappropriate for her to do muh dikhayi at this time. He asks her to comprehend the situation. Gitanjali urges her not to restrict the rasam with others and reassures that our guests will understand.
The baby teases Chandrakant, reminding him that Guru’s original arranged marriage was with someone else. But instead, he eloped and married Devika. And now, Teerth was also supposed to marry her sister, but he also ended up marrying someone else. She playfully adds that their children seem to elope and get married. She mentioned that they already had an online wedding and will also have an online muh dikhayi and shagun rasam. However, Chandrakant dismisses this and tells everyone to leave. Just then, Kritika appears in a saree over her night suit and assures her father that her muh dikhayi will happen now.
As Devika observes her, Suman is adorned with sindoor and mangalsutra. Lost in thoughts about Rishi, she continues to run along the road. Teerth calls out, urging her to stop and hear him out. A speeding car nearly hits her in a split second, but Teerth intervenes just in time. “What were you thinking?” he asks, as Suman embraces him in tears and confesses that Rishi has left them. Teerth also breaks down and reminds her to be strong. Yearning for Rishi, Suman pleads for Teerth to take her to him. With a heavy heart, Teerth reveals that they must instead go to the crematorium ground. Overcome with emotion, Suman refuses while Teerth offers comfort by holding her tight. Bhumi also joins in their sorrowful weeping.
At the crematorium ground, Suman gazes at Rishi with tears. His words echo in her mind, reminding her she is his “suraksha kawach.” She calls out his name and sobs uncontrollably. Meanwhile, Gulshan wears a small smile while the rest of the group appears sombre.
