The episode begins with Suman contemplating freeing Teerth from their marriage for his happiness and her peace of mind. As she prepares to break her mangalsutra, Devika urges her to do so, insisting that she burn it with the fire inside her. However, Suman recalls Rishi’s words and refuses, declaring that she will not break this bond until her last breath, even if Teerth loves someone else. She vows not to force him to fulfill their marriage but refuses to sever the relationship herself.

Meanwhile, Malini tells Hema they must attend a gathering despite Hema’s reluctance. She insists that they should hide their internal conflicts and asks Bhumi to maintain a cheerful demeanor. Suman, reflecting on her situation, prays to God, accepting Teerth as her husband but doubting if she could ever truly be his wife. Determined to erase the symbolic mark of their union, she washes off Teerth’s name from her cheeks, shedding tears in the process. Teerth, unaware of her turmoil, casually remarks that he feels hungry every two hours, despite not eating for two days.

Changing her attire, Suman re-enters the room, catching Devika’s gaze. She firmly declares that while she may not be Teerth’s wife in his eyes, he will always remain her husband. She acknowledges that he may see her as a responsibility rather than a partner, but she vows to uphold their bond, continuing to wear her sindoor and mangalsutra. At the same time, she grants him the freedom to pursue his happiness. Devika smirks at her resolve.

Suman then tells Teerth he can follow his heart while she will carry the relationship in her soul but not for the world to see. Packing her bags, she exits the room. A delighted Devika calls out to her, alerting Gitanjali and Chandrakant. Gitanjali questions Suman’s departure, reminding her that this house is now her home, not her mayka. However, Suman stands firm, declaring that she is leaving permanently.

Gitanjali reprimands Suman, emphasizing the sanctity of marriage and Karwa Chauth, a day dedicated to praying for a husband’s long life. She questions how Suman could remove her sindoor and mangalsutra. Suman, unfazed, asserts that their marriage has become a burden on Teerth and his family, and she refuses to impose herself any longer. Devika tries to stop her, but Chandrakant intervenes, stating that if she did not enter their home by their will, she is free to leave as she pleases. However, he warns her that if she leaves now, she must never return. He commands her to go, and Suman, with folded hands, apologizes before stepping away.

Devika attempts to make her reconsider, but Suman silences her, stating that this is what they wanted. Chandrakant dismisses her emotions, insisting that she leave immediately. Gitanjali calls out to Suman, who, recalling Teerth and Devika’s words, walks away. As she departs, Kritika, Akhil, and Devika celebrate her exit. Devika smirks, vowing to remove sindoor and mangalsutra completely from Suman’s life. Gitanjali worries about Laddoo’s reaction, but Chandrakant reassures her, saying they did not drive Suman out—she left on her own, and they will simply tell Laddoo that the trouble is gone.

Meanwhile, Teerth drives home and, for a fleeting moment, thinks he sees Suman. Unbothered, he brushes it off and focuses on his hunger. Suman arrives at her mayka, where her family is surprised by her sudden return. Hema reveals they were about to leave for her sasural. However, Suman stops them, stating it is unnecessary. Malini, sensing something amiss, asks if she had a fight with Teerth. Suman firmly states that she has returned home for good. Overhearing this, Gulshan smirks, seeing an opportunity to reclaim Suman in his life. She, meanwhile, breaks down in Hema’s arms.
