When can she join as a music teacher? Gurnoor asks the principal. Principal said as of right now. Gurnoor says that is quite excellent. The principal orders her to first turn in all of her paperwork. Gurnoor claims she will send it soon. Akeer says eagerly that he will go to school every day should Gurnoon Madam show up.

Gurnoor probes Sahiba about whether he is his son. Angad nods in agreement and leaves, thanking Madam. Gurnoor believes he is so arrogant and neglects appropriate responses. She walks in the corridor past Akeer. Let him show her the school, says Akeer, holding her hand. Let her first talk to his papa, Gurnoor advises. He is not his papa, says Akeer.

Angad stands patiently, watching Gurnoor introduce herself to him by name. She heard from the principal that she knows his name and wonders if he finds it confusing. She wonders whether he did anything to Akeer, why he is not accepting him as his father, why he doesn’t smile, why he should smile, and maybe his son starts liking him because of his smile. Sometimes, Angad explains, life brings so much grief that people forget to smile. Gurnoor advises they approach their grief with a grin; she follows suit, even if he should attempt.

When Akeer returns and asks when she will teach music, she should sing yesterday’s song. How does he know, Gurnoor wonders? Akeer claims to have been in there. Angad notes that Akeer saw her yesterday. Why didn’t he meet her then, asks Gurnoor? She had disappeared, according to Akeer. Angad claims Akeer meant she had passed by then. His teacher drives him to the class. Gurnoor tells Angad his son is quite lovely. Angad goes away. Gurnoor finds his father to be somewhat harsh and his son to be rather cute. She should enjoy her work and start dancing; she believes it is not her issue.

Angad misses Sahiba and sobs back home at her picture. He says Akeer was a vibrant young man who broke down after she left; Akeer met a girl who looked exactly like her and looked very happy thinking she had returned; he wanted to pray to God to keep his son happy, but he knew none could be like her. Walking to him, Garry says he cannot see him depressed. He reminds him of a photo frame he had given Sahiba and claims he got a photoshopped picture today displaying Angad, Akeer, and Sahiba. Angad gives him an affectionate embrace. Garry asks God to arrange things between Angad and Akeer; Akeer smiles again. Angad remembers joyful hugs from Gurnoor.

Akeer sits solemnly in class. Teaching dancing to students, the dance teacher reminds them that their presentation is tomorrow. She invites Akeer among the children. Acker declines. Simran asks the instructor whether she phoned as she walks in. According to the teacher, Akeer always sits depressed and does not engage in any activity. Students target Akeer because they do not know how to dance. Akeer remembers dancing like a monkey with his mother and claims he can dance. He moves in dance. Students joke about him dancing like a monkey. Walking out of the classroom crying, Simran tells Akeer he doesn’t want to prove anything. She then tells Angad, over Peon’s phone, that Akeer is quite depressed and she cannot watch him like that; he should come here. Angad remembers the final remarks of Sahiba.

Akeer moves to dance like money. As he pauses, the dance teacher wonders how she could assist this underprivileged child. The teacher, Akeer, advises Gurnoor to teach Martha Madam’s class music as tomorrow is their dancing competition. When Gurnoor calls Akeer after seeing his dancing, Akeer falls after stopping to dream of Sahiba. Gurnoor comes running and holds him. Akeer contacts her mother. He gets water from Gurnoor. Students call his father by name and him a loser who dances like a monkey. Akeer bursts out of the classroom with rage.

Saying no one is his friend here, Akeer hugs Gurnoor. Gurnoor wonders whether he is missing his former school. Akeer claims he misses his mother, who visited God’s house. Gurnoor says even if she misses her parents and chants when she misses them the most, he should also sing.
