The episode begins with Renu asking Mamta to give whatever she wants to Riya. Mamta gives shagun to Riya and Akash. Renu quickly takes it and asks them to take Mamta’s blessings. Mamta blesses them, but Paresh disapproves, saying this looks like dowry, not parental love. Mamta defends herself, saying every parent makes jewellery for their daughter. She mentions Roshni might have received much jewellery since she is from Dubai.
Renu boasts that Roshni’s father is very rich and will soon give her 250 tola gold. Roshni looks worried. Mamta then asks about Sayali. Renu harshly insults Sayali, saying her family never gave anything, not even earrings, and mocks her late father who ran a flower stall. Paresh tries to stop her, but Renu continues humiliating Sayali, claiming she only entered the house because of Paresh’s guilt. Sayali breaks down in tears and leaves for her room.
Later, when Renu scolds her again in the temple, Sayali finally answers back, saying she will not stay silent anymore. Roshni and Tejas support Renu, but Paresh and the others defend Sayali. Renu argues that she only spoke the truth. Sayali, fed up, asks why jewellery is always brought up and storms off to her room.
Soon, Sayali returns with the jewellery. Handing it back, she says she doesn’t want anything. Sachin arrives just in time to witness this. Paresh asks Sayali to keep the jewellery, but she refuses, reminding them of Renu’s constant insults. Sachin scolds Renu for hurting Sayali and asks Sayali to keep the jewellery given with love. Sayali refuses again, saying Renu will always insult her for it.
Renu demands to know where the mangalsutra is. Sayali, heartbroken, says she expected this question and declares she doesn’t want even the mangalsutra. She hands it over, leaving everyone, especially Sachin, shocked.

Roshni gives money to Renu, who once again insults Sayali. Sachin finds Sayali crying. She tells him she doesn’t earn money, so she doesn’t get respect. She asks if she too can earn money.
