The episode begins with Ruhi excitedly announcing good news. She congratulates Abhimanyu, who has become MD for the second time due to his hard work. Dadi wishes for his happiness. Akshara becomes concerned about Kairav and messages him to ask if everything is okay between him and Muskaan. He reassures her that there may be some ups and downs, but it will all work out in time. Muskaan interrupts by moving his phone to make room for a food plate, causing Kairav to apologize for an important call he received.
After being congratulated by the doctors and receiving a bouquet, Aarohi reminds Abhimanyu to express his gratitude. However, he expresses uncertainty and conflicted feelings about potentially taking something away from Parth. While Aarohi reassures him that it’s not up to the family to decide, she also mentions that Mahima, who supports Parth, will handle any reactions. Eventually, Abhimanyu thanks everyone for their congratulatory wishes. Aarohi then brings up the need to discuss the case at hand but is interrupted by Abhir’s call. Abhimanyu informs her of his busy schedule and rushes off after receiving an urgent message from his mother. She asks if everything is okay before he hastily leaves.
Upon arriving home, Abhimanyu adamantly refuses to sing despite Abhir’s persistent pleas and reminders that his good marks will suffer if he doesn’t. Concerned about getting insulted, Abhimanyu insists that he cannot fulfill Abhir’s request. However, Ruhi interjects with an idea, putting an end to the back and forth. Following this exchange, Muskaan returns home and notices Kairav’s phone. Initially tempted to check it, she decides against it and tries to unlock it before being interrupted by Kairav emerging from the washroom. Making small talk about her early return from work, Muskaan quickly excuses herself to help Suwarna, leaving Kairav alone with his phone again.
It’s late, Akshara says, so we’ll sleep. He shuts the door, and someone knocks at the door. Dadi asks if the goons have arrived. Surekha says to call the police. Abhimanyu opens the door and Manish sees him. Abhimanyu asks if everything is fine at home. He recalls Ruhi saying Akshara cannot sing with Abhir, but she can teach Abhimanyu. Abhir thanks her. Flashback ends. Abhimanyu asks if you can teach me to sing.
You are going to sing, Manish asks. They laugh. Akshara says you are joking. Abhimanyu says no, your son is threatening me because he gave my name without asking me. Abhimanyu and everyone leave. Abhimanyu asks will you teach me or not; if he loses, he’ll make your life difficult. She says fine, I’ll teach you, come at 6am sharp, otherwise class cancels. He thanks and leaves.
The morning comes, Akshara asks him to start with Sa. Abhimanyu sings Saregama… She laughs. He says not to make fun of me. She says I will sing, you listen. She sings Dil se bandhi… He remembers Akshara’s singing. He becomes sad.
At home, Abhimanyu expresses his frustration over his mistake and questions how he can revisit their past. Shefali reassures him not to be too hard on himself, as one cannot control memories. He then asks how he could even entertain such thoughts, to which Shefali reminds him that our actions are within our control but thoughts can vary. He mentions her trust in him, to which Shefali responds that although the window of their past may be closed, certain triggers may bring back old memories, much like how music did for them. Abhimanyu agrees and hopes to avoid a similar situation in the future.
Kairav inquires, “Did you happen to check my phone yesterday?” Muskaan responds with a “no.” He then proceeds to mention how his phone was taken off the charger and he noticed someone had entered the wrong password. He expresses his concern about potential hacking by one of the staff members and asks if Muskaan had touched his phone. She admits to doing so, as she needed to speak with Neela. She apologizes for touching it and asks what is on the phone, to which Kairav snatches it from her hand. He questions her lack of trust and even offers for her to keep his phone and thoroughly check it. Kairav reveals that Akshara had inquired about their relationship through messages but he deleted them so that Muskaan wouldn’t feel upset. She asks what Kairav’s response was, to which he reassured Akshara that things will improve with time. Muskaan interprets this as an indication of problems in their marriage, but Kairav brushes it off by saying she is not thinking clearly. Suddenly, he receives a message from Pallavi.
Muskaan informed you that your manager messaged you at 11pm. Perhaps, Akshara’s name was mentioned in the message. Your manager asked for clarification and Muskaan left the conversation. In the morning, Abhimanyu returns home and Akshara reminds him of their upcoming function. She asks if he has practiced his vocal exercises and he responds with a smile. She playfully asks him to come back to reality as she knows he is worried about something. Abhimanyu admits his tension and Akshara reassures him by saying that she has faith in his abilities as her student. He promises to sing and she encourages him to do so at their practice session. She notices his hesitation and suggests that he close his eyes to overcome any fears or doubts. As he sings, she accompanies him on the guitar while “Aye zindagi” plays in the background. Akshara applauds his performance with pride.
