Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 8th November 2025 Written Update begins with a fierce confrontation between Abhira and Armaan over Kiara’s pregnancy. Abhira accuses Armaan of unfairly blaming Abhir for everything that has gone wrong in Kiara’s life. Armaan fires back, saying Abhir already destroyed Charu’s life and is now trying to ruin Kiara’s future too. He insists that he is only acting as a protective brother.
Abhira strongly argues that whatever happened between Kiara and Abhir was with mutual consent. She reminds Armaan that Abhir was seriously injured during their confrontation and yet Armaan continues to hold him responsible without understanding the full truth. When Armaan tries to explain himself, Abhira cuts him off, saying he punished Abhir without knowing everything. Hurt and angry, she walks away as Armaan tries to stop her.
Inside the house, opinions are divided. Vidya states that Kiara will have to undergo a medical procedure. Manjari adds that Kiara cannot become an unwed mother. Madhav criticises Kiara, saying she wasted too much time recovering from her emotional state and now suddenly wants to take responsibility for the child alone.
Sanjay blames Kiara for ruining both Charu’s life and her own. Kajal admits she is angry with Kiara and does not want to see her face, but she feels the baby should not suffer. Sanjay questions whether the family is strong enough to bear the loss of their reputation. He says such shame requires the strength of the entire family and asks if they are prepared for it. Kajal then questions Kaveri directly, asking if aborting an innocent baby is truly the right solution.
Meanwhile, Abhira goes to check on Abhir and is horrified to see blood still flowing from his head. She panics and shouts for the doctor. At the same time, Kiara struggles to sleep and goes to take medicine, but Armaan stops her, explaining that the medicine is not safe for her condition. Abhira remains deeply worried about Abhir, growing emotional over his state, while Armaan tries to help Kiara rest.
Armaan reflects on the worsening family situation and Abhira’s words. He realises that while Abhir has made mistakes, the real conflict is now between him and Abhira. He understands that Abhir is Abhira’s brother and accepts that Abhir may be wrong, yet he believes he cannot allow his family to fall apart. Armaan decides he must speak to Abhira calmly.
Abhir and Kiara attempt to talk to each other, but Armaan notices and stops them. Abhira intervenes and asks Armaan to let them speak. Armaan refuses, saying he will not allow Abhir anywhere near Kiara. Abhira argues that if Kiara feels uncomfortable, she can say it herself. She acknowledges Armaan’s concerns and admits Abhir’s past mistakes but insists he has changed and is about to become a father. She urges Armaan to give them time to process everything.
In an emotional moment, Abhir kneels down and begins breaking the strings of his guitar. Kiara asks him to stop, reminding him that it is his favourite guitar. Abhir says he is only trying to show how deeply he loves her. Abhira explains to Armaan that Abhir and Kiara are adults capable of making their own decisions. Armaan tries to intervene again, but Abhira asks him to calm down and let Kiara decide her own future.
Abhir tells Kiara that he wants to fix his mistakes and make her happy. Using a broken guitar string, he makes a ring and proposes marriage to her. He promises to give her a complete family and take full responsibility as a father, saying he needs her and their child.
Kiara refuses his proposal. She asks Abhir if he would have proposed had she not been pregnant. She reminds him that he married earlier because of Charu and is now talking about marriage again because of a baby. Kiara reveals that this is the reason she tried to hide her pregnancy in the first place.
Abhir insists that he loves her and was not proposing out of compulsion. He admits he wanted to ensure the baby would not be labelled illegitimate but clarifies that Kiara should not feel pressured to say yes.
The entire Poddar family overhears this conversation. Kiara notices them standing there. Armaan tells Abhir that Kiara has made her decision and orders him to leave, pushing him away. Abhir warns Armaan not to interfere between him and Kiara and accuses him of pretending to respect Abhira’s choices while failing to do so in reality. Abhira asks Abhir not to drag her relationship with Armaan into this. Armaan angrily tells Abhir not to involve his family.
A heated argument erupts between Armaan and Abhir. Armaan calls Abhir selfish and says he only thinks about himself, adding that even Kiara knows this, which is why she refused to marry him. Abhir tells Armaan to stop interfering in his life. In rage, Armaan raises his hand to hit Abhir again, but Abhira steps in front of Abhir to protect him.
Abhira asks Abhir to give Kiara some time. Armaan warns Abhira not to get overly emotional or she will lose everything. Kaveri confronts Kiara and demands to know why she refused to marry Abhir. Abhir tries to support Kiara, but Kaveri declares that Kiara now has only two choices, either undergo the procedure or marry Abhir. Abhira firmly tells Kaveri not to pressure Kiara.
An enraged Kaveri turns on Abhira, blaming her for Kiara’s pregnancy and questioning whether Abhira already knew about Kiara and Abhir’s relationship. Kiara comes forward to defend Abhira. Vidya also starts questioning Abhira, while Armaan defends Abhira and places the blame entirely on Abhir. This deeply disappoints Abhira.
Abhira tries to reason with everyone, saying that even if blaming Abhir brings them peace, they must consider how their behaviour is affecting Kiara and the unborn baby. She asks the family to give Kiara time to think about marriage. Armaan agrees with her. Sanjay sarcastically comments that the family has become so modern that they are now giving Kiara time even after her mistake. Tanya and Ananya support Armaan and Abhira’s stand.
Kaveri claps mockingly and questions how Kiara plans to raise the child. She asks what name the child will carry and how society will ridicule the baby. Abhira responds that Kiara cannot be happy in a forced marriage. Kaveri coldly replies that Kiara will have to learn to stay happy because marriage is inevitable.
Kaveri then questions Abhira about what she will tell Maira when she asks about Kiara’s pregnancy. Just then, Maira returns home and senses the tension. Abhira gently asks her to go inside, but Kaveri remarks that Maira will learn everything simply by observing what is happening around her.
