Anupama worries Kinjal and Kavya. Kavya says Devika doesn’t even know where she is. Kinjal says I hope Mummy and Anuj will unite. Babu ji prays to God.
As it rains, Anuj holds an umbrella over both of them while Aaya tere dar pe deewana plays. They seek shelter in the beautiful glass house in the garden. Anuj speaks, “Let me speak today.” He continues, “Some say that the past cannot be revisited, but they do not understand the power of true love.” Anuj expresses that for many people, the past becomes a distant memory, but their love remains unchanged. He admits that though they had parted ways, their lives continue to move forward together. Then he shares a heartfelt confession about how much his heart aches at the sight of her and how he tried to fulfill his promise to her with everything he had. Even though she had chosen not to be with him, Anuj accepted her decision and had decided to move on with someone else.
He explains that Kanha ji had different plans. He recalls how multiple girls had entered his life but were unable to stay, until Shruti, Aadhya’s mother, came along. He acknowledges that while she was physically distant, Shruti remained a constant presence in his life. He affirms that his heart belongs to only one person – you. He assures that Shruti was aware of his love for you and that he never hid it from her, or anyone else for that matter. He emphasizes that from the moment he first saw you, 26 years ago, he has loved only you and will always be yours.
He explains that Shruti was willing to wait for me, but I made it clear that I could only provide her with a relationship and a name, not love and companionship. When I saw you after 5 years, I initially planned on meeting you and putting the past behind us. However, Aadhya convinced me to keep my promise of being with Shruti, despite my lack of love for her. He admits that he loves Aadhya so deeply that he made the decision to stay with Shruti. However, he cannot forgive Shruti’s actions as she attempted to defame Devi by staining her idol.
He expresses that today, I am standing here without any tears or guilt. It’s remarkable that despite how you may feel seeing me, I’ve been connected to you throughout many lifetimes. It’s as if my entire existence revolves around your name. Even God saw fit to place you in the same country and restaurant where Shruti would take me. Do you remember when you first came to India and my name was written on your hand with mehendi? And then there was Shruti’s influence, urging us to evolve from Anuj and Anupama into Maan and Anupama. She even pointed out that this must be Kanha ji’s divine plan. He ponders why our paths continue to cross if it wasn’t meant to be. And then he recites a poem.
Despite being miles apart, the moon and sea can cause a storm in the sea when the moon sees them, so Anuj gets the storm in her heart as soon as Anupama sees me. He asks why we do not agree that we love each other. After hearing his long and true confession, Anupama returns. Anuj bends down on his knees and says, “I love you Anu, you know it well, so why are you coming back?” and he says, “We arrived here fighting with the world, so why are you moving back?”.
Her life companionship will never be overpowered by five years, he says in a hug. He asks her to confess that she also loves him. Anupama pushes him and runs away from him. If she loves me and misses me like I do, then Anuj thinks she’ll turn once and look at me. As a song/Qawwali plays, Anupama cries, and Anuj smiles.
Anupama comes home and hugs Devika. She asks where you are, everyone has been searching for you. Anupama says Mr. Shah was right, I broke Shruti and Anuj’s alliance. Devika says you didn’t do anything. Anupama cries and says she tried a lot to stay away from Anuj and made my heart understand, but she ended up bringing them together unintentionally. She says perhaps I did something that made Anuj hopeful again.
Devika says did you ask Shruti to ask Food critics to ruin her and others’ lives, and asks why you are blaming yourself. Anupama blames herself. Devika claims Anuj and Shruti were just friends. Anupama says Anuj would have loved Shruti after marriage. As Devika says, Shruti broke up with you by mistake because she already knew that Anuj just liked you, and she also tied the thread with Anuj even though she knew it would be weak.
Anupama says I have done a mistake. Devika asks her to pack her bags as she is going on a long trip. Anupama asks what trip she is going on. Devika says guilt trip.
Anuj is strolling down the street while Shruti ponders their past breakup. She grabs her handbag and departs. Devika questions Anupama’s behavior, wondering why she can’t just be happy like everyone else. She suggests that perhaps Anuj should have renounced his worldly possessions. Anupama regrets not leaving for America sooner or leaving when she saw him there. She contemplates how she needs to make him understand, and questions why she didn’t speak up when he approached her to talk. She believes he can’t break his promise to Shruti. Devika argues that Anuj is capable of making his own decisions and asks why Anupama is so concerned. Anupama defends herself, claiming that she does care. Devika proposes that Anupama should marry Anuj, but she refuses because it would mean he would have to end things with Shruti. However, she agrees to talk to him about it and turns to look at Shruti.
Vanraj tells Kavya that Anupama is a termite in Anuj and Shruti’s lives. Kavya asks him why he always lowers Anupama, and asks him not to break Titu and Dimpy’s marriage.
Shruti apologizes for coming home and disturbing you. Anupama says she will talk to Anuj and make him understand. She says she will talk to him, he cannot do this, and you have given him four years of your life. Her apology says she came to speak with you, apologizes for hurting her heart, and apologizes for what she has done, and says she is sorry for Joshi behen.
