Anupama presents Dimpy to Malti Devi, telling her she looks lovely. In agreement, Malti Devi comments that Dimpy is indeed looking good. Just then, Anuj arrives and wards off any bad omens before requesting Anupama to give money to the poor. He adds that he has always heard pregnant ladies look beautiful; today, they have witnessed it themselves. However, Dimpy interrupts with a cough, prompting Adhik to fetch her some water quickly. After drinking it, Adhik asks if she feels better and reminds her to keep a water bottle, snack bars, and candies in her purse for emergencies. He also mentions having Swiss chocolates and goes to retrieve them.
As Anuj goes, Malti Devi tells her that everyone takes care of the pregnant lady, even the strangers on the bus who gave their seats to the pregnant lady. She is given imli goli by Babu ji and says, I bring methi ki laddoo. Anupama asks how she will keep everything in her bag. Adhik says she will keep it all. Paakhi watches everything and thinks she has no value in the house anymore.
While Toshu was occupied with his call for the UK embassy visit, Vanraj informed him that Pari was crying. However, he seemed unbothered. Vanraj then suggested that if Toshu was headed to the bank, he could deposit a cheque for him. Toshu remained oblivious to this and continued with his embassy work. Babu ji noticed this and reprimanded Toshu, pointing out that Vanraj was trying to communicate and his daughter was in distress. Eventually, Babu ji calmed the baby down and asked Vanraj to join them so they could go to the bank and deposit his cheque together.
Adhik enters the room and inquires if everything is alright. Paakhi expresses her gratitude for his care towards Dimpy, who is pregnant, and requests him to continue to provide extra attention and water for her. Adhik confirms Dimpy’s pregnancy. Paakhi then mentions feeling neglected and shares her frustration about not seeking a second opinion or exploring other options for having a baby. She feels everyone only focuses on Dimpy and disregards her. Adhik responds that she is being unreasonable. Paakhi admits feeling doubtful about being able to conceive and become a mother.
Adhik repeatedly warns her against using the same pity tactic and points out that she has gone from jealousy to anger to self-pity. He states that this behaviour is unacceptable. Paakhi deems herself worthless, but Adhik reminds her that she is not a heroine from the 1970s. He declares that now is not the appropriate time to speak with her and leaves. As Paakhi sobs, Malti Devi gazes at her with concern. She then goes to Anupama and encourages her to get some rest. Anupama suggests that Malti Devi also needs rest, having chased after Choti all day. The two women sit together and discuss waiting for their husbands, with Malti Devi lamenting that no husband treats his wife like Anuj does.
According to Anupama, Anuj has filled the void of loneliness in her life. Malti Devi states that she may have achieved fame, wealth, and talent in dancing but neglected building relationships and truly living. Anupama waited 26 years to find love, and meeting Anuj made it feel like those years never passed. She believes the same will happen to Kavya and encourages her to become a loving mother and grandmother rather than a strict mother-in-law like herself. Malti Devi adds that it ultimately depends on the daughter-in-law’s actions. Meanwhile, Kavya feels restless as she thinks about Vanraj taking his medication and sleeping. She wonders what she should do in this situation.
Upon arriving home, Anuj lovingly greets Anupama, who then signals that Malti Devi is present. This causes Malti Devi distress as she believes Anupama will always hold a special place in Anuj’s heart. He proceeds to shower Anupama with affection and recites poetry. In the meantime, Kavya attempts to drink water but accidentally drops the glass and falls herself. Baa rushes over to her and advises her to take deep breaths. Kavya shares her fears about her unborn baby’s well-being, to which Baa reassures her that feeling discomfort while breathing during the seventh month of pregnancy is common. She also sympathizes with Kavya’s back pain and offers to help her sleep by having her rest on her lap. Baa kindly reminds Kavya that she has faced numerous hardships in life and has invaluable experience to share. She comforts Kavya until she falls asleep.
Anupama presents food to Anuj, who doubts achieving a six-pack after marrying her. She reassures him that he is attractive and jokingly asks if he wants to ruin her life. She then offers him a meal, to which he explains his lack of exercise in the past two years but promises to start again now. He inquires about their plans for tomorrow’s meal, and she mentions the delicious pancakes she had made for Romil and Choti. Upon seeing Romil, Anuj questions where he has been, and Romil explains that he dropped off some friends. Anupama suggests having kheer for dessert, which Romil tries and enjoys before placing a book on the table. He then kindly requests that Anupama prepare kheer for him again tomorrow morning.
Anupama tells Anuj to do Kavya’s godh bharayi. Adhik tries talking to Paakhi and says if she can’t become a mother, he can’t either. Anuj says it’s already done. Anupama says it was a baby shower, the English way, and now this god Bharati traditional way. Anuj says you can do it twice more if you want. Anupama smiles. He asks Anupama to come into his room.
Anupama says she will wrap up the things and come to the room. Anuj asks her to come soon. Anupama sees Romil’s book on the table. Adhik asks Paakhi to understand that Dimpy lost her husband within a year and that he was her brother. Paakhi says she is playing the victim card. Adhik says you also do the same. As Paakhi predicts, one day Dimpy will cut everyone’s noses, Anupama knocks on Romil’s door to give his book and gets inside. She is shocked.
