Anupama 4th September 2024 Written Update begins with Anupama urging Babu ji to reconsider reuniting with Baa. She reminds him that life is short and precious. Indra and Bala support her, telling Babu ji he’s lucky to find love again. Sagar remarks that this Janmashtami has brought couples together — Anuj-Anupama and now Baa-Babu ji.

Anupama lights a diya and prays, grateful for having Anuj and Aadhya back in her life. She hopes Baa and Babu ji also reunite. She performs the aarti with Anuj and Aadhya, while the family supports her silently. Kinjal, Titu, Toshu, Meenu, and others try to convince Baa to accept Babu ji. However, Baa walks away, unwilling to forgive easily.

Meanwhile, Anupama shares her desire to visit Megha. Aadhya panics and begs her not to go, fearing for her safety. Anuj steps in and insists they both will go—as her parents.

Back at Shah House, young Ansh complains about being troubled by the other kids. Baa and Toshu talk about Vanraj’s prolonged absence. Just then, two intimidating men storm into the house, asking about Vanraj Shah. Toshu tries to act brave but is shocked when they reveal Vanraj has committed financial fraud involving crores and has gone missing. They ransack the Shah home and warn everyone to call Vanraj or face dire consequences. Baa defends her son fiercely, but deep down, everyone is shaken. Toshu reluctantly admits Vanraj is capable of such betrayal.

At Megha’s house, Anuj and Anupama meet Viren. He pleads with them not to call the police. Anuj explains that Megha would already be in jail if they had done so. Anupama shares she only came as a mother to speak to another mother.

Viren recounts Megha’s trauma after losing their daughter Priya. One day, they saw Aadhya in a child care centre, and Megha, seeing Priya’s reflection in her, brought her home. Initially, things were fine, but Megha became possessive and controlling. Anupama says that while Megha’s love started as motherly, it eventually turned into obsession.

Anupama enters Priya’s room and confronts Megha. Megha accuses her of stealing Priya. Anupama gently but firmly tells her that Aadhya is not Priya—she is her daughter. Megha insists that Aadhya is Priya. Anupama argues back, saying her daughter is not a substitute for Megha’s loss and reminds her that clinging to a lie is not love but selfishness.

Aadhya, worried outside, fears for Anupama’s safety. Inside, Megha breaks down and hugs Anupama, still asking for Priya. Anupama shares her own grief of losing Samar and emphasizes that even then, she never tried to replace him. She says children aren’t toys, and true motherhood means respecting a child’s happiness.

Finally, Anupama asks Megha to swear on Priya’s photo — was Aadhya truly happy with her? Megha tearfully admits she wasn’t. Anupama says what Megha felt was not motherhood but attachment and denial. She scolds her for stopping the search for her real daughter. Her words are harsh but necessary.
