The episode begins with Sanjay Singh telling Appu that yesterday she helped him win the kite competition, and now he’s here to return the favor. He suggests they let go of their animosity and become friends. Appu, however, is not so easily persuaded. She listens to his offer but sets a condition—he must apologize to her father for his earlier behavior. Sanjay, unwilling to apologize, says he would rather lose his head than bend down. Appu stands her ground, saying that she can end their rivalry but cannot become his friend under these terms. She throws the friendship band on the ground and walks away. Mohit comments that Appu has too much attitude, but Sanjay is determined to show her the consequences of her actions.
At Girdhar’s house, preparations for a puja are underway. Renu asks for Pandit ji’s dhoti, and Madhu mentions that Girdhar went to bring it. Amma tells everyone to stay quiet about Sangeeta’s alliance and stay in the room. Laali and the other women arrive, and she jokingly asks if Amma is hiding anything. Amma admits that the groom’s family came for Sangeeta but says nothing has been confirmed. Laali mocks Appu, saying that girls like her, who study with boys, often face shame. Amma looks at Madhu with concern.
Meanwhile, in the school chemistry lab, the students begin their titration experiment. Sanjay, still angry about Appu rejecting his friendship, decides to cause trouble. He adds something to the experiment, which causes a flask to explode, spilling its contents on Appu. The boys laugh and record the incident, further embarrassing her. She tries to stop them but is scolded by the guest lecturer, who tells her to cover herself and behave properly. Appu, humiliated, is left in tears.
At home, Laali continues to gossip, showing a photo of Appu to Amma and Renu. She insinuates that Appu is misbehaving in school. Amma is shocked, and Laali criticizes Appu for not living up to her image. When Appu returns home, she is confronted by her family about the photo. She defends herself, saying it was the boys’ fault, not hers. Laali presses further, accusing Appu of dishonoring her family. Appu, frustrated, refuses to explain herself to people who don’t believe her.
Laali goes as far as to suggest that Appu prove her innocence by swearing on burning coal. Pandit ji intervenes, saying that such a test is wrong, and he cannot bear to witness it. Just then, Girdhar enters the scene, furious at what he sees. He demands that Laali put down the coal and tells Appu to come with him. Appu, showing strength and defiance, grabs the coal holder from Laali’s hand, refusing to let her continue the humiliation.
