At the beginning of the episode, Apollena inquires about her father’s whereabouts and why they are being prevented from leaving. Renu’s husband attempts to ask about Girdhar’s whereabouts from the CBI, but the lawyer abruptly ends the call. Meanwhile, Madhu dries her hair, and Appu retrieves a shirt belonging to Girdhar. She intends to return it to their father, who is also wet from water.
Neil informs Madhu that something is being shown on TV. Apollena, wearing her father’s shirt, is frightened by the thunderstorm. She envisions her father advising her not to be afraid and explains it as a mere technical issue. Neil arrives and reveals that Pallavi Sachdeva has been arrested for allegedly leaking SRI files to neighbouring countries, along with some of her colleagues who are also being interrogated.
According to Renu’s husband, being proven as a traitor would result in imprisonment, from which there is no escape. He also mentions that in the army, traitors are executed by a bullet to the chest. This news shocks both Apollena and Neil, prompting Neil to question if their father is a traitor. However, Madhu reassures them he is not and Apollena wonders if they will still harm him.
The following day, August 15th, Apollena woke up frantically shouting for her father. She claimed they had shot him, but Madhu reassured her it was just a bad dream. Amma chimed in, saying she couldn’t sleep all night because of it. Renu informed them they were taking Girdhar home, as her husband would bring him there. As Apollena caught sight of her father getting out of the police jeep, she ran to embrace him. However, their reunion was interrupted by reporters bombarding Girdhar with questions. Neil quickly stepped in to stop Appu from being overwhelmed.
The journalist inquires about Girdhar receiving a clean chit despite not knowing Pallavi. When it is revealed that he has become a government witness, Girdhar requests to leave. A man accuses him of being a traitor, to which Girdhar defends himself by stating he is not. The crowd then starts labelling him as corrupt and a traitor, causing them to become angry. During the chaos, someone throws black ink at Girdhar’s face while calling him a traitor, leaving everyone in shock.
Girdhar cleans his face and embraces Apollena, who becomes frightened and takes refuge behind Madhu. Amma uses her veil to wipe his face and declares they will not remain in this place but instead return to Chitrakoot. He remembers once referring to Apollena as a “rocket girl.”
As they reach Chitrakoot, Renu’s husband remarks that he should have considered becoming a government witness. Girdhar questions him, to which he replies that he firmly believes in Pallavi’s innocence, stating that she even had the potential to be an astronaut. The conversation then shifts to how the SRI files were leaked to other countries. Girdhar reveals that it was orchestrated by the Director and Vijayan, who has now fled to Singapore. He also mentions that Pallavi had kept the files in the Director’s locker. Girdhar adds that if only Pallavi had pursued her dream of becoming an astronaut, she could have made significant contributions to the nation.
Amma says you’ve lost respect and asks if you want to risk your life. Appu vehemently yells no in response and beckons for her to come over. He then races towards her and urges her to heed Dadi’s advice and give up on science. Disregarding her concerns, he explains how scientific knowledge makes the moon and stars move. However, she warns him they will harm him for daring to throw ink on them. Unfazed, Appu proposes that they defy their oppressors and prove his father’s innocence to the world. Curious, she asks how they can do this, to which he suggests she becomes the “rocket girl”.
“Do you truly aspire to be a rocket girl?” He inquires, reminding her of the challenges ahead. Appolena confidently affirms, “I am determined and not afraid.” “Can I count on your word?” He seeks reassurance, to which she responds with a resounding “Promise.” “Your training commences today,” he states as they step outside. He informs her that she will be racing against the boys on their bicycles and urges her to give them some inspiring words. After she does so, he instructs her to begin as the boys prepare for the race. She stands poised and ready to run with the boys ready to go. Taking off at his signal, she dashes ahead as he reminds her to control her breathing.
Apollena runs and grows into a stunning girl. The lads tease her as she runs. Girdhar reminds her to stay focused. Gasping for air, she reaches him. He remembers Pallavi’s advice and tells her she needs better endurance, concentration, and mental fortitude.
He expresses concern about the challenges of breathing in space without any control. She shares that she was treated poorly by others. He warns about potential discouragement and questions if this will deter her from pursuing her dream. Apollena declares that this time, she will maintain control over her breathing and not let anything distract her. With determination, she runs towards home, wearing a smile on her face.
