Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein 12th May 2024 Written Update begins with a heavily drunk Ishaan thanking Reeva for always standing by him and offering her unwavering support. Touched, Reeva hugs him emotionally and suggests they go home. Ishaan insists on giving her a birthday gift and hands over some documents. Reeva is shocked to see that they are Ishaan and Savi’s divorce papers. He explains that they’re incomplete and signs them, asking Reeva to get Savi’s signature as well.
Reeva brings Ishaan back home and helps him to bed while the emotional tune of “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyar Mein” plays in the background. When she walks into the living room, Surekha asks where she found Ishaan. Reeva recalls the divorce papers but only mentions that she found him outside a shop and that he was stressed. Surekha praises Reeva, saying she protects Ishaan like a devoted wife with an invisible mangalsutra, and thanks her for being his strength.
Meanwhile, Shikha informs Savi via message that Ishaan has returned home safely. Savi thanks God for his safety. Shukla’s wife comments that Savi was genuinely concerned for Ishaan and believes that he will eventually realize his mistake and come back to her. However, Savi dismisses the idea, saying that nothing like that will happen.
The next morning, Shukla shows a newspaper containing an apology from the editor for the false article published earlier about Savi. Savi reads the small apology buried in a corner and acknowledges the injustice. Just then, Ishaan steps out of his car and approaches her. Shukla and his wife, assuming he’s here to reconcile, feel hopeful. However, Ishaan coldly hands Savi the signed divorce papers, stating this is what she wanted and their paths are now different. When Savi offers him tea, he reminds her that he doesn’t drink tea and drives off, briefly glancing back at her.
Heartbroken, Savi breaks down while staring at the divorce papers and recalls moments from their marriage. The emotional song “Ya Rabba Dede Koi Jaan Bhi Agar…” plays in the background. At college, Ishaan struggles to open his cabin door, visibly disturbed. Nishi reminds him of the IAS officer Surya Prakash’s visit scheduled for that day.
Back at the Bhosale home, Surekha celebrates Ishaan handing over the divorce papers and offers sweets to Swati, congratulating her. Swati, surprised, asks when this happened. Surekha replies that it was last night and says that although Savi ruined Reeva’s birthday, today Reeva will receive the best gift.
At college, students buzz about IAS officer Surya Prakash’s visit. Meanwhile, Savi, at her tea shop, is trying to focus on writing an essay. Surya Prakash arrives at the shop, and Shukla eagerly welcomes him. He introduces Savi as a talented student and offers him tea. Shukla’s wife encourages Savi to look up. When she does, she’s shocked to see Surya Prakash standing before her.
