Surekha expresses her concern to Isha over her being alone at this stage of her life, without the support of a husband or son. She reflects on her past where she prioritized her career and received false praise, ultimately leading to her being alone now. Isha reassures her that she worries about Surekha more than necessary. Surekha mentions Ishan, who is with her, but laments not being able to meet him on his upcoming birthday where the whole city will be in attendance. Isha shares that despite being forced out of her home by Surekha and others, her son still gave her a meaningful gift without being asked. This leads to Surekha’s frustration towards herself for pushing away her son and separating him from his mother. The conversation becomes tense and Ishan ends up hanging up the call.
The family pranks Ishan at midnight and wishes him a happy birthday. Ishan writes a letter to him wishing him a happy birthday and expressing her sadness for not having the opportunity to meet him. Though she can’t meet him and wish him a happy birthday, she assures him that her blessings are always with him and that his mother loves her very much. Isha asks why she gets teary-eyed while writing an article.
Isha has been writing letters to Ishan for his birthday for the past 20 years. She has kept all of these letters and feels a special connection with him through them. As Ishan is about to cut his birthday cake, he receives a phone call. His family encourages him to enjoy his birthday first before answering the call. After the other person hangs up, Ishan cuts the cake and shares it with his family. Savi then brings another cake and asks Isha to do the honours of cutting it. Isha questions why her name is on this cake instead of Ishan’s. Savi explains that when a child is born, a mother is also born, so it’s technically her birthday as well. With this realization, Ishan shares his cake with everyone and Isha blesses him while cutting her own slice to share with Savi.
Once again, Ishan receives a call from an unknown number. Prateek advises him to let it go and instead take a selfie with everyone. As the call is disconnected, Ishan’s ex-girlfriend wonders if she should reach out to wish him a happy birthday, but decides against it. Meanwhile, Isha prays that she can be with her son on his special day, even though she is unable to be there currently. In turn, Savi also prays for Isha’s wish to come true. The next day, Savi presents Ishan with a greeting card to wish him a happy birthday. However, Ishan playfully scolds her for not seeking his permission before doing something like this. Undeterred, Savi offers him Bappa’s prasad, knowing he cannot refuse it. Ishan happily accepts and enjoys the prasad.
As Savi heads back to the hotel, she notices Ankur organizing a special birthday celebration. It’s Ishan’s birthday party. Ankur discreetly requests her to enter from a different entrance, as per Bhosales’ request for complete privacy. Savi then approaches Isha and persuades her to join her outside. The family brings Ishan, who is blindfolded, to the party venue. Durva explains that they will be displaying messages on screen and he must guess who sent them. The first message is shown and it turns out to be from Surekha, who always wishes him in this manner. Meanwhile, Savi brings Isha to the celebration and she becomes emotional upon seeing Ishan. Finally, Ishan reads Shantanu’s message on the screen.

A cake is offered to Ishan by Isha, who wishes him a happy birthday. Ishan angrily throws it away and asks why she entered Bhosale’s party. Isha says she was going and wanted to meet him before. Ishan says she had gone long ago and asks her to go before he kicks her out and never returns to even his funeral. Isha breaks down.
