Ishan is the host of the grand finale of the college’s cultural festival in 2023 and welcomes guests at the auditorium. He shares some exciting news with everyone – their college has been awarded the best award at Pune University for being located in the central zone. According to him, this achievement reflects the student’s hard work and is a testament to his skills as a teacher. Moving on, he announces a play directed and performed by Ms. Savi Chavan. This seems to upset Surekha who turns to Yashwant and asks if Ishan will be dancing with Savi yet again. Yashwant responds with a non-committal “let’s see”. Just then, Isha enters the auditorium but slips and falls. Ishan rushes over to help her up, only realizing later that it was her he had instinctively reached out to. Seeing him after so long makes Isha emotional, but Ishan ignores her and leaves angrily instead.
As Shiva plays with his cycle on his house’s lawn, his mother, portrayed by Savi, runs behind him and asks him to stop before he falls down. She is unable to catch him because he has learned to cycle now. Ishan and Isha recall a similar event that happened to them before. Surekha tells Yashwant that she believes it is the story of their house. Yashwant says it may be a coincidence.
The following sequence begins with Savi’s attempt to put Shiva to sleep. She tells a jungle story with a hidden secret, which she then explains in Hindi. However, Shiva claims to know more than her teacher and suggests that she become a teacher herself. Savi responds by revealing that she used to be a teacher. Just then, Reeva enters as Shiva’s Kaaki and criticizes women who work outside the house, stating that it goes against their family tradition. She then informs Savi that her mother is on the phone. Savi picks up the landline receiver and learns from her mother that her brother has passed away in an accident. Her parents are devastated and need someone to take care of them now. Without hesitation, Savi promises to take care of them herself.
In the following sequence, Savi informs Kaki that she will shift to her parent’s house to care for them. Nishi tells Surekha that Reeva looks like her. Surekha asks him to watch. Kaki offers to send them some money instead. Savi insists that they are not beggars but need the support of their children. Kaki refuses to let Shiva go with him and asks if she wants to deprive Shiv of his family.
Yashwant tells Surekha that Savi is enacting their story. Savi says even her husband Prashant will go with them, and Shiva will get the love of his parents and grandparents. Prashant refuses to support her. Surekha decides to stop Savi. Yashwant warns her not to create drama in front of everyone. Savi urges Surekha to let Ishan go with him. Ishan recalls his childhood experiences.

Surekha behaves as if she is collapsing. Isha tells Savi that she shouldn’t have taken her and Ishan’s issue in public, and now Ishan will never forgive her. He angrily pushes her away.
