Ganga, with a heavy heart, sets fire to the slate and breaks down in tears. Jaggu cries out while Akash embraces Ganga for comfort. Kalikant reassures Jamuna that the Chitta community will make up for the lost food, and she agrees to prepare the entire meal. Amol urges him to kick her out, or else he’ll have to take his blood pressure medicine. Kalikant grumbles about being troubled by both mother and daughter, prompting Amol to question him.
According to Kalikant, my wife has made our son compassionate towards the Chittas, as he now shows sympathy towards them. Amol believes that we should not engage in conflicts with outsiders but avoid them within our own family. Kalikant asserts that no one in the household can challenge his authority. Amol also mentions that Chitta is currently in custody and suggests that Kalikant provide him with employment opportunities. In response, Kalikant reassures him that he will take care of everything and assign Chitta some work.
Jagriti is busy cooking in the Servants’ kitchen when Akash enters and attempts to engage her in conversation. However, she declines to speak with him. Perplexed, Akash asks, “What did I do?” Jaggu responds by reminding him that he had promised she could continue her studies at the haveli. Akash explains that their father can be easily angered and suggests they secretly study together without his knowledge.
Ganga calls out to Akash as she approaches. Jaggu expresses regret to Ganga, acknowledging that he now realizes this haveli is a tempting trap for her, holding her captive. Ganga becomes agitated by his words and explains that sometimes birds choose to make their cage their home to protect their young from potential dangers until they are ready to leave. She assures him that he will understand when he is older. Akash gazes at her intently.
Ganga advises Akash to discontinue his meetings with Jagriti and reminds him of today’s incident. Akash explains that he has committed to teaching Jaggu. Ganga brings up the concern of Akash’s father finding out. Akash suggests they keep their lessons a secret so no one knows them. This triggers a memory for Jagriti, as Gita mentioned that hidden actions can be considered wrong. As their conversation ends, Ganga gives her approval. Akash expresses gratitude by hugging his mother and complimenting her.
Jagriti reassures Ganga that she has no intention of pursuing her education in secret, acknowledging her continued support. Ganga apologizes for not convincing her properly and explains that Sarkar’s anger was not her fault. Jagriti admits to making a mistake and expresses her desire to study openly to shed the criminal label on her name. She worries that learning secretly will only perpetuate this criminal reputation. Ganga smiles at her determination. Jagriti remembers she needs to cook before Jamuna Kaki gets scolded by Sarkar, not wanting anyone to bear his wrath. However, Akash insists she doesn’t need to worry about it. Jagriti begins preparing food as Ganga leads Akash away from the situation.
Durjan and the other men are all dancing while Bindi sits nearby with Nanda. Ratna shifts uncomfortably in her seat. As Jaggu arrives home, memories of Kachori and Sarkar’s words flood her. She decides to keep quiet about them. Harish questions Jaggu’s whereabouts, to which she replies that she has a lot to do at the haveli. Bindi lovingly kisses her head as Mangla reminds her to get ready. After Jaggu gets dressed and steps out, Kachori can’t help but notice that she seems upset about Bindi being her new stepmother. Feeling sympathetic, she leads Bindi away from the situation.
The inspector reveals to Amol that Bindi is not Jagriti’s biological mother and that she never got married. Amol then decides to use Jaggu as leverage to win over Bindi’s affections. The inspector agrees with Amol’s plan, causing him to express his gratitude. However, the inspector reminds him they cannot act against Jaggu or Bindi without Sarkar’s approval. Undeterred, Amol assures him that he knows precisely how to manipulate the situation and mentions Kalikant Thakur as part of his plan, confident that Bindi will comply and Jaggu will do what is needed. Gita overhears this and asks about Jaggu’s role in the scheme.
Upon hearing that Bindi Mausi will become her stepmother, Kachori inquires from Jaggu about the reason behind her sadness. Jaggu confirms this and explains that she had planned on pursuing an education before Bindi’s marriage but now feels trapped in the haveli. Kachori suggests that Jaggu let go of the idea of getting an education, as she won’t be able to play with them anyway. She then mentions how their mother had locked the door to education. This sparks an idea in Jaggu’s mind, and she expresses gratitude to Kachori for being a true friend.
Amol deceives Gita by assuring her that Jaggu has the potential to bring about change in the Chitta community. He praises Jaggu’s bravery and mentions that he was studying with Kalikant’s son. Curious, Gita questions why Jaggu goes there, possibly for work. In response, Jaggu tells Kachori that their mother will support him in his studies. However, Kachori reminds him of the strict rule against Chitta entering the school and asks why their mother would go against it. Gita then turns to Amol and asks him to clarify why Jaggu frequents that place.
