Jagriti 5th January 2025 Written Update begins with Bindi instructing Nanda to prepare a herbal lep for Jagriti’s burn wounds. She helps take Jagriti outside, while Harish assists Gita. Meanwhile, Gayatri demands Jamuna perform a purification ritual. She spots Kalindi dressed in traditional Chitta attire and mistakes her for a local woman. Kalindi plays along and tells her followers she narrowly escaped the fire.

Gayatri orders Jamuna to throw Gangajal on Kalindi, who is left shocked and drenched. Kalikant arrives and demands to know why Kalindi is “bathing” in public. Kalindi blames Jamuna, calling her illiterate. Gayatri scolds Kalindi and sarcastically tells her she should be thankful she wasn’t beaten with a stick. She also questions Kalindi’s choice of clothing. Kalikant orders her to change, and Gayatri warns him to control her behavior before she mingles too much with the Chittas. Kalikant dismissively remarks that once the basti is gone, there’ll be no one to mingle with. Just then, a servant informs him that Ballu has arrived.

Elsewhere, Jagriti tells Gita, Harish, and Bindi that she was the one who rescued Sapna. Gita is surprised Sapna didn’t inform anyone and questions her grudge. Durjan, still grieving the destruction of the basti, promises that once they find the culprit, he won’t be spared. At that moment, Kachori bravely steps forward and says she knows who burned the basti. To everyone’s shock, she names her own father—Ballu. Nanda is in disbelief, but Kachori insists both Nanda’s son and her father are responsible.

Durjan vows to punish Ballu, but only after the basti is rebuilt. He wants Ballu to face justice before the newly restored community.

In the meantime, Kalikant violently beats Ballu, frustrated that he failed to execute the plan. Kalindi tries to intervene. Gayatri mocks Kalikant, saying the “king” has lost because he chose the wrong “puppet.” She warns that if the basti learns Kalikant orchestrated the fire, the consequences will be dire. Kalikant suggests killing Ballu but Gayatri urges him to think ahead—to secure both his present and future.

Amol then calls Kalikant, prompting Kalikant to nearly smash his phone. Gayatri insists he take the call. Amol reminds Kalikant that real friends help during tough times and says he now possesses all the stolen evidence. Kalikant softens his tone and pretends to be friendly. Amol, however, is playing his own game—he wants to strike a deal, starting with Gita.

In a flashback, Amol recalls meeting Sapna in the basti. Sapna was upset after Gita acknowledged Jagriti as her daughter. Amol manipulates her, saying they no longer need Gita. He asks where Jagriti’s home is, and Sapna points him to Harish’s hut. Amol enters, finds the file, and smiles victoriously. Back in the present, he boasts that everyone treated him like a pawn—but he will defeat them all.

Back in the basti, Harish encourages Gita to rest while they focus on rebuilding. Gita suspects Ballu acted on Kalikant’s orders, just to retrieve the evidence. Soon, Gita receives a call from Amol. He confirms that Kalikant burned the basti and the proof is now with him. Gita anxiously asks where Sapna is. Amol coldly replies that while Gita was announcing Jagriti as her daughter, Sapna returned to him.

Amol tells her to come home, and that he will call again once she arrives. Gita is worried, and when Harish asks who called, she simply says “Amol.” Despite his pleas for her to wait until morning, Gita insists on leaving immediately. She hugs Jagriti and departs.

Shortly after, Kalindi brings a tied-up Ballu to Durjan and accuses him of burning the basti on Amol’s orders and trying to kill her. Everyone is stunned.

Precap:

Amol tells Gita to come back to him like a “good mother.” Gita arrives with a gun, but Amol snatches it and points it at her. Jagriti and Akash are left in complete shock.
