As the episode begins, Anirudh says he will stay back since he has already told the truth. Arshi says you’ll stay with your wife. He argues. Tanuja says we don’t trust this girl. What if she says the marriage is real? Shrishti asks Anirudh what he means. He says you are Arshi’s mother, but you have done this. Shubh stops him, and Arshi says you and Jhanak are married.
Shrishti and Anirudh argue further. Anirudh says we have not accepted that marriage. Bipasha says, but people believe it. Arshi says Jhanak won’t marry Rahul. I will do whatever you say once Jhanak’s exams and marriage are completed. As Arshi says, “You have to promise that no pandit will stop our marriage again,” Anirudh says, “Not everyone will know about it.” He defends himself.
He says Shrishti forced me to lie and did this; otherwise, Jhanak would have given exams and moved on. Shrishti informed Tejas and got Jhanak kidnapped. She says she is the same as Tejas; she is characterless. Anirudh asks what proof you have. If I am characterless, right? Why are you getting your daughter married to me? Arshi says you can’t talk to my mother like that. I wonder if you can talk to me in the same way.
Shubh says she is an elder; behave yourself. He asks Anirudh to return soon. Arshi says he did not come here to stay, he has a career, he doesn’t do social work. He says I have a reason for visiting, you can stay back. Shubh thinks we should leave now. Arshi says Jhanak didn’t come to say bye to us. Anirudh says she has exams. Jhanak comes to them. She says she promises that Arshi’s marriage won’t be a problem. She sees Anirudh.
When Anirudh visits Jhanak, she says I’ll be taking my exams; you should go, but he says there’s a get-together with your friends, so I’ll go. She says focus on your marriage, then I’ll go. He asks what you think. She says I don’t know; you don’t need to stay here; Rahul and friends are there; I don’t have anything to expect from you; I didn’t think of you a few months ago. They argue. She says you don’t know what a responsibility is.
She believes you accused our marriage of being fake and made no effort to understand my feelings. He suggests that you take your exams and travel to Kolkata. She insists on staying in her state and asks for forgiveness. She requests that he not visit again as she needs to focus on her studies. He clarifies that he is not trying to act cheaply by coming to see her; instead, he is responsible as her future husband. He adds that he has no desire to go here to see her and reminds her to be ready when she comes knocking at his door. She becomes annoyed and thinks that you contradict yourself; this does not seem right.
Anirudh believes that your true feelings are being revealed here. As your love is here, I would rather be happy with Arshi. With that, he exits. Jhanak is seen sitting and crying. The following day, Anirudh takes Jhanak to her college. She requests him not to stay, but he responds by asking if she is making the decision. Wishing her good luck, he tells her she can leave now. Jhanak then asks if she can touch his feet for blessings, as no elder is present. However, she notices he does not offer her blessings and questions his behavior. He explains that he does not need to show it since she didn’t want him to come in the first place. She tells him she must take his blessings regardless to keep her mind calm for her exam.
He urges her to do well on the exam. She replies that she is an average student and getting passing marks would suffice. He advises her to always aspire for more, carefully read the questions, and provide thorough answers. She inquires if he is feeling unwell. He concedes that he has been running a fever for two days. Although Arshi was not aware of it, she picked it up. He reassures her that he is fine but notices she hasn’t eaten. She discloses that she is anxious about the exams and used to be fed by her mother to alleviate stress. Memories of Urvashi resurface, and she apologizes. He informs her that her friends have arrived and suggests seeing them. She gladly embraces Rahul and company while Anirudh’s mood sours. He scolds himself for being foolish, seeing Rahul reciprocate the hug, vowing never to make that error again.
