Initially, Anirudh apologizes to Jhanak. She refuses to accept the gift. She says I’m just a maid here. He says no, it’s not like that. He recalls Urvashi’s letter. She says I will face taunts if anyone sees it. He says I bought this for you. She says you should have purchased Arshi the gift. They argue. She apologizes. She says you brought me here and sheltered me, sorry. He says forget it and take this saree.

The woman says she can’t take this. As he says, I’m giving you something for the first time, and anyone will see and misunderstand it, so take it. If anyone asks me, she says, should I say you gave it to me? He says you can say you got it from Kashmir. He says you can lie. She asks if I should lie. He asks if you’re angry with me. I’m just a maid, and you’re the boss, so I can’t get angry with you. He says Jhanak… She asks why.

Tejas reprimands the villagers and asks for information about Jhanak. The sarpanch replies that they are unaware of her whereabouts. Tejas insists they are lying and continues questioning them, determined to find her. Anirudh advises Tejas to focus on his studies and secure an excellent job to improve his future and gain independence. Jhanak asks why he cares, and Anirudh promises to explain later. He then offers her a saree, with the condition that she doesn’t want him to do this again, to which she agrees.

She says you promise me you won’t get anything. I won’t feel good. He says fine, it’s the last time. He goes. Tejas threatens the villages. A villager stops Tejas and tells him Jhanak has run away with Anirudh. He asks what. He says the man has the picture but must stay in the village. Tejas says fine, come to my house, show it to me and take the reward. He leaves.

Appu looks for Jhanak. Anjana advises her to remain calm. Anirudh suggests that Jhanak change. She says she does not belong to the family. Dadi asks Mimi to sing the puja song. Mimi agrees. Arshi arrives. Anirudh compliments Mimi. Mimi sings. Everyone smiles. Dadi asks Anjana to read the Panchaali. Anjana reads it. Dada asks everyone to cover their feet. Gangajal shouldn’t fall on their feet. Vinayak talks to Shubh and Dada says I want Rasgullas in my room.

Vinayak inquires Jhanak about her choice of attire, to which Appu silently observes. Dadi expresses disappointment that Jhanak did not wear new clothes. Arshi offers to lend her clothes to Jhanak, and Anirudh suggests buying her new ones as she is now part of the family. Appu also chimes in, insisting that Jhanak wear new clothes. She even pulls out a red saree to wear. Mimi comments on how lucky Jhanak is to have access to Arshi’s designer wardrobe while Bipasha makes a snide remark towards Jhanak.

Jhanak says, let it be, I’ve got clothes, a crow can’t wear a peacock feather. Bipasha says Arshi has taunted you. Appu says Jhanak will look gorgeous, and she’s wearing Rumi’s old dress. Tanuja says we shouldn’t argue with people of lower standards. Appu asks Jhanak to look at what she got for her. She says this was in your cupboard. You had a beautiful red saree but forgot to wear it. Jhanak is concerned and recalls her marriage with Anirudh.
