Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai 26th February 2024 Written Episode Update
As Mami works in the morning, she ponders how Naren was treated during his visit to their home. Just as she is about to trip over a bat, she asks Mitesh to move it. Mitesh admits that he was initially angry and even wanted to use the bat on Naren, but now he wonders if he could face him again. Suddenly, Nandini’s attention is drawn to Naren entering their house, which shocks her. She quickly calls her uncle, who also looks at Naren. Without Mitesh realizing it, Naren is standing right behind him. Perplexed by the situation, they both hesitate to answer when asked what has happened. Sensing this, Nandini signals Mitesh to turn around and see for himself.
He introduces himself before walking to greet Ishwar and Nandini. Mami tries to see who it is, and when she realizes it is Naren, she quickly comes out, and Naren also greets her. Mami invites Naren to sit in their house, but Naren refuses mentioning he wants to speak with Nandini in private if they both don’t have any objections. He apologizes for coming to their house unannounced, but Mami asks what’s the need to feel sorry for.
Ishwar is shocked when Mami says Nandini and Mitesh are going to buy sweets from the shop, Mitesh asks if it is true, and Mami shouts yes, ordering him to ride with his uncle on the scooter. Mami even asks him to make sure Surbhi is not eating on someone else’s farm before she leaves the house to finish her work. When they keep standing in the house, Mami becomes irritated and sends them both away.
Naren walks over to Nandini, mentioning that he has already shared his true feelings with Mehul. Nandini responds by saying that Mehul did the same, but her perception of Naren was different. She felt that he was seeking revenge and she couldn’t possibly form a relationship with him. Naren then asks for her current response. He clarifies that if everyone knows the truth, what would be her answer? Without facing him, Nandini firmly states that it is now impossible because their families come from different backgrounds. She explains that his social status is unattainable for her family and they cannot even consider matching it. To this, Naren points out that she’s referring to financial status and he doesn’t believe in such materialistic distinctions. Despite agreeing with Nandini’s belief in equality, he raises the question of money and its presence in their future. However, he genuinely admires her thoughts and behavior and urges her to overlook any differences in wealth or social standing and tell him if she has any issues with him as a person.
She replies that she has no problem with him, but she does have a problem with dowry and any sort of exchange. She says she cannot belong to any family that asks for dowry because she has seen a lot of families destroyed. Upon turning back, Nandini explains her uncle and Mami raised both of them with a lot of difficulties, even though they had nothing to her except a farm, and what would they have if they lost it during her marriage?
Naren commends Nandini for speaking out against the dowry system without hesitation, which is a testament to her strength. He also shares her stance on the issue and had hoped she would have recognized its importance by now. As educated individuals in the modern era, they feel responsible to challenge such harmful traditions. However, Nandini points out that Naren’s family may not hold the same beliefs as him. Naren then mentions that Nandini is unaware of his father’s identity, Seth Hemraj Ratansi, who is determined to reform society and has a more positive outlook than his own.
In the middle of a function, Hemraj Ratansi stops the announcement and greets everyone on behalf of the organization. After greeting everyone, Hemraj Ratansi takes the stage and begins his lecture. As people respect his father a lot, Naren also follows what he says to others, so the words of his father tend to become law.
Hemraj once again welcomes everyone to the event, saying they all should be praised for the event since the traditions are related to their society. However, there are certain traditions they have taken advantage of, such as dowries, for which many parents have sacrificed all they have, and it is the right of women to live in peace. As he looks at the young generations, he feels proud because they have given them a way to move forward. They should work together to end dowry.
Naren says she will adjust very easily in their family because she will become the daughter in law of the social worker, and Naren informs Nandini how happy he is with her. She recalls the story her uncle told her about someone who always remains happy tends to be strong, so they should always face every challenge with a smile.
Hemraj suggests starting the event, and Sujan Dharamsi greets him. Hemraj explains that when someone achieves success quickly, others may doubt their accomplishments. Sujan mentions that he owns a small company with a turnover of 500 million. He wants to propose that his daughter live in Hemraj’s house, as both men have only one child. This would benefit not just his daughter but also Hemraj’s son. As they sit on the couch, Sujan shares his plans for his daughter’s future, emphasizing that all his wealth will eventually belong to her and her future husband. He even promises to provide her with a luxurious car and opportunities in the city. Hemraj questions if he heard correctly, as he doesn’t recall hearing any of this at the beginning of the event, wondering how he could have forgotten such bold statements.
As Naren raises his hand, Nandini walks to the other side, asking her to trust him and his family. Sujan and Hemraj sit together, discussing their feelings about the topic of dowry. Sujan shares that he opposes dowry and has made a vow against it, but is still following the rituals for his daughter’s happiness. Hemraj understands this and does not question him, as they both know that what is given without asking is considered a gift. Sujan reassures Hemraj that he is doing everything for his daughter’s happiness. Suddenly, Nandini arrives in an expensive car, which makes Hemraj feel worried about the implications of such a grand display. Meanwhile, Naren kneels in front of Nandini and promises to never let her experience any pain. Hemraj hugs Sujan, unaware that Nandini has accepted Naren’s proposal.
