In the episode, Aryan tells Ranbir he got his car repaired. Ranbir looks on. Aryan asks who that guy is and why he is stressed. Ranbir says I will meet you after some time and leaves. Surely, something happened between Prachi and him, and he wonders where she met him. Akshay comes to Prachi’s house. Prachi asks what happened. He replies that nothing has happened yet.
When he gets inside, Prachi sees him bent down on his knees. He shows her the ring and proposes marriage. Prachi says she is not ready for love yet. He says he will wait until next year to propose to her. He says I don’t like your look when you don’t wait for me. Prachi asks if he won’t hurt you until you agree to marry him. Akshay says you always saved me, and I need you always. He promises to keep a smile on your face no matter what.
Prachi says we’ll find you an innocent girl with a good smile. Akshay says you’re perfect for me, I can’t marry just anyone. He says I’ll propose again this year. After meeting Dadi and Shahana, Akshay tells them that he needs to meet Dad too. Prachi asks him to keep the car with him. Akshay leaves. As Ranbir is driving, he notices Akshay smiling at Prachi. He wonders why he is jealous, but he is bound to be jealous because Akshay appears to be having feelings for Prachi.
Ashok asks Akshay, did you propose to her? Akshay says he did, but she refused as she has for the past two years. Apparently, he lied to her about getting this ring from Bangalore, and somewhere she sensed that this wasn’t his proposal. Akshay says this is the third time, let’s eat. Ashok says emotions are strange things. Khushi sees Ranbir on the road and runs onto the road calling Shiv. Ranbir sees Khushi running and the car behind her, he gets down and saves her.
In anger, Ranbir scolds the driver and Khushi for running on the road. Khushi cries. Ranbir apologizes to her and wonders why he became hyper. He wipes her tears and apologizes to her again. The policeman asks why you were running on the road in the middle of the night. Khushi shows him vada pav, which an aunty gave her when she sold flowers. She says seeing you, I thought I ought to have vada pav with you.
Khushi says Maayi is at home, as her boyfriend came and doesn’t like her. He says she disturbs him, so Maayi asked me to come at 10 pm. That’s why your Maayi asked you to come late. Khushi asks why he didn’t hear me. Ranbir says nothing. Khushi asks whether I should tell the truth. Ranbir says yes.
She says she prayed to the broken start, that you two shall unite like Shiv and Parvati, and I will unite you both. When you came to meet me, and Parvati was there, I felt that you both shall be united. We shall go home now. I will drop you home. She says we’ll have wada pav together. He smiles and says you’re lovely.
She then thinks of Khushi and says that only you can become my life’s khushi. Ranbir comes with her to Khushi’s house. Khushi asks him not to leave until she sleeps. As he asks when your Maayi will arrive. Ranbir replies that she will come in the morning. She tries to sleep and asks if he won’t go. Prachi looks for her phone. Khushi is not sleeping. Ranbir asks if she is hungry. Khushi says no. Ranbir asks her to close her eyes and think about the person she loves most.
When the phone rings, Ranbir asks whose phone it is. Khushi says Parvati gave it to her despite my refusal. She asks him not to tell Maayi. Khushi takes the phone from the box and picks up Prachi’s call. Prachi asks Khushi to lie down on the bed, put the phone on speaker, and try to sleep. She sings a lullaby to Khushi.
Ranbir hears her and gets emotional, recalling Prachi singing a lullaby for Panchi in the hospital and telling Khushi they are like each other. Khushi sleeps. Ranbir hears the lullaby and sees Khushi asleep.
