Shanti questions Somaiya’s authority to participate in the pooja, to which she responds that it was not a big deal and she did it for everyone’s benefit. She points out that it wouldn’t have made a difference if someone else had placed the card after the auspicious time had passed. Shanti reminds Somaiya that she is not Adit’s wife or Mangal, but Bhushan urges her to remain calm. She argues that it was her daughter’s house and her right to place the card. How could someone else take away that right?
Somya expresses her lack of knowledge on the matter, while Shanti suggests seeking advice from someone else. They turn to Pandit Ji and inquire about the possibility of an outsider participating, to which he responds that it should have been the daughter-in-law’s duty. Shanti reminds Somya to know her place in the family, and she apologizes with tears. Adit intervenes and asks Mangal to stop Shanti’s scolding, but Mangal defends Shanti, stating that Somya is accepting her mistake and they should let it go. Shanti then brings her concern to Kusum, who advises her to stay calm. Adit chimes in that Somya explained she did it because they were behind schedule, which was a minor issue. However, Kusum disagrees and states that even she could not perform the task, as only Mangal had the right to do so.
At Mahurat time, Adit says the magic was also missing. Kusum says any family member could do it. Gayatri says girls today don’t know such things. Kusum says don’t mind Somaiya. Mangal intervenes and assures that Lakshmi can get them instead. She then asks Akshar and Lakshmi to fetch the cards.
Ishana sees Lakshmi’s card. She says such pretty flowers. Lakshmi sees the bouquet. She wonders why Adit kept them in the car. She takes them inside. Ishana enters the house. She says, “Papi, who is this bouquet for?” Gayatri says, “That’s such a beautiful bouquet. Somaiya recalls Adit giving her these flowers. Lakshmi says Mangal loves red roses; therefore, they are for her. Karthik says for Bhabhi. Cute. I guess he just wanted to impress Bhabhi.
