Kusum finds Gayatri hugging Jiya in her room. Jiya says I’ll talk to you later. She leaves. Kusum says I’m glad I saw you two together. You were hugging her like she was your daughter. You said you kicked her out of your life. Gayatri says she came to wish me well. Kusum asks why did you take her wish here in your room? Gayatri hugs her and says don’t worry. Let’s cut the cake. Kusum wonders what Gaytri is thinking.
Sanjana tells Karthik, “Come, I want to talk to you.” Lakshmi is delighted that he loves her. She says I feel so lucky. When Sanjana asks why you are roaming around holding Lakshmi’s hand, he says to make Jiya jealous. Your mom is finding the wedding date, but Karthik says that won’t happen. Jiya will tell me she loves me.
Everyone wishes Gayatri. She cuts the cake. Everyone makes everyone eat the cake. Karthik sings and dances with Lakshmi. Adit comes on stage and dances with them. He asks them to do a couple of dances with him. Gayatri and the rest of the family also come on stage. Mangal tries to dance with Adit, but he ignores her.
On stage, Gayatri expresses her gratitude to all those who joined her in celebrating her birthday. She then shares a special announcement and invites Karthik to join her. Shanti declares to Mangal that the engagement cannot happen. This occasion was meant for our birthday, which Shanti failed to inform us about. It’s pretty strange. Lipika suggests they should be given some time, as what if it turns into a wedding tomorrow? Mangal assures her that they will make it work. However, Shanti expresses concern about preparations and asks where they will get everything. Kusum reassures them by saying not to worry, as she has taken care of everything. She hands over a lehenga and jewelry to Mangal, saying she has prepared everything. They need to focus on getting their daughter-in-law ready.
In response to Mangal’s thanks for everything, Kusum says hurry up. She asks Lipika and Shanti to leave as well. Kusum says here is her gold jewelry. We cannot leave you with it. Shanti says I’m not a thief. Kusum says I can’t trust you. Shanti says this is too much. Why would I steal her jewelry? Lakshmi says it’s fine. Gayatri bought Lipika this saree for you, and Lipika is wearing it. Mangal says this is wrong.
Kusum says you can’t take her fate. Everything today belongs to Lakshmi. She tells Mangal that your mother-in-law insulted me, but you didn’t stop her from doing so. Lipika says we have no respect here, so let’s go. Shanti says yeah, let’s go. Mangal only cares about Lakshmi. She leaves. Mangal starts getting Lakshmi ready.
