Adit and Sudesh arrive as the tension builds. Meanwhile, Soumya edits one of Mangal’s videos. Sudesh tries to stop Kusum from scolding Mangal, but Kusum refuses, saying Mangal has broken her trust just like Adit once did. Mangal insists she was helpless. Adit mocks her, saying that every day brings a new “breaking news” in the house. He taunts her for becoming a halwai and getting everyone involved with the police.

Soumya smirks and reveals that Mangal has been hiding something else. She plays a video of Mangal telling Shanti that she wants to stay with her parents for some days. Soumya tries to turn the situation again, accusing Mangal of exaggerating and blaming Adit unfairly. She claims Mangal wanted to bring him down. Mangal gives a powerful response, asking Soumya how she dares to question her 15 years of marriage when she has only been in the house for 15 days. She tells Soumya that being a wife means having equal rights in the household, something Soumya will never understand.

Sudesh says that Adit can never repay the debt of his parents’ love. Kusum and Sudesh express their disappointment, saying their upbringing has failed.

Adit and Soumya walk away silently, defeated. Kusum then apologises to Mangal for doubting her. She admits that she failed to understand her and says that if she had been a true mother, Mangal would have shared her struggles earlier. Mangal hugs her and says it’s not her fault; she just wanted to be independent. She tells Kusum that she doesn’t want to depend on anyone, not even her father, and wishes to earn for her children’s future.
