Lakshmi and Mangal arrive at Kusum. She says I am fine. Mangal says Gayatri looked angry. She didn’t even talk to us, but you’re crying. Leave me alone, Kusum says. She cries. Mangal says he doesn’t like seeing you in this way. I don’t want things to go bad between me and Lakshmi. That’s just how sisters are. Kusum says there’s no such thing. You both need boundaries. You may also become toxic to each other. She says leave me alone.
Karthik asks Gayatri if she was able to secure Kusum’s place. He offers to accompany her, but she expresses that Kusum is upset and does not want to rush into a decision. However, their efforts seem futile as Prema Ji is not listening either. Karthik suggests talking to his aunt, but Gayatri advises against it. She reminds him that they have their engagement today and he should focus on preparing for it. Karthik insists on involving his family, questioning why Jiya rushed into the engagement. He wonders if he should talk to her about it, but Gayatri urges him not to interfere as they have already given their word. She explains that it is common for girls’ families to be anxious in such situations. Gayatri reassures Karthik that Kusum will come for the engagement, so there is no need to worry about her.
A call comes from Mangal. Lakshmi buys flowers. Jiya wants the same flowers. The shopkeeper says to pack it for me. It’s my special day. Lakshmi says to give it to her. Jiya says you. Lakshmi says give my gajra to her. Jiya says it’s okay. You keep it. You said it was your special day. Lakshmi says you will get what happens to you, and I will get what happens to me. She leaves.
Lakshmi and Mangal prepare the food. Mangal secretly plans to go to Gayatri’s place. She says she will talk to Gayatri about what happened. Amma is devastated. As Karthik gets ready, he calls Jiya and says he wants to talk to her before the engagement. I miss you. Gayatri asks, are you ready? Despite a long wait for this day, Karthik says he doesn’t feel happy. Something doesn’t feel right. Gayatri says the event happened quickly. It happened. The wedding will go on as planned, and everyone will attend.
Karthik inquires, “Will Kusum and her family be arriving?” She responds, “Yes, they’ll be here on schedule.” Sanjana remarks, “We always throw a better birthday celebration for Karthik; am I missing something?” Gayatri firmly states, “I do not owe you an explanation. I make decisions that are in Karthik’s best interest. I did not invite anyone else, so please avoid inviting surprise guests.” Just then, Mangal appears. Gayatri instructs Karthik’s manager to keep the media at bay and ensure no one knows about Karthik’s engagement today. Additionally, no photographs or videos should be taken, and no outsiders should be allowed to attend the event.
Mangal is forbidden from going in. She says I am family. He says there’s a party. If your name is on the list, you can go in. He asks her to check, but she says Kusum’s name isn’t on the list. She says Kusum’s name doesn’t appear on the list. Adit’s name is not on the list either. Mangal says let me go in. I’ll talk to Mausi. Gayatri sees Mangal outside. She is worried.
Kusum asks Lakshmi where Mangal is. She says she went to buy vegetables. Could I make tea? Kusum says we have all the vegetables. Why would she go at this hour to get them? Mangal is not here. Gayatri asks her manager to tell Mangal to leave. Mangal says let me in. I have to talk to Mausi. He says you can go. We can’t let you in. Kusum calls Mausi. Kusum asks why you went to Gayatri’s place. Now go back home. She’s angry.
Adit asks Somiya if Karthik’s engagement is today. She said yes, Sanjana posted his photo. Adit was shocked. She said you didn’t know? Gayatri saw Sanjana’s story. She says you posted. Kusum confronts Mangal, asking why they went to that place and not telling her. She accuses them of lying. Mangal explains that they did it for her because they couldn’t bear to see her upset. Kusum insists that she could have handled it herself. But Mangal clarifies that they were trying to find out what happened. Kusum reminds them that she specifically asked them not to get involved. However, Mangal also insists on caring for Kusum’s feelings, mentioning how much they have always seen her and Gayatri support each other. At this point, Papa asks what is going on. Kusum tells him that no one needs to interfere, but he urges Mangal to speak to Gayatri about the situation. Mangal admits that Gayatri was present at a party, but she didn’t let them in. Papa wants to know more about this party, but Kusum firmly states that they have nothing to do with it and no one should attend it.
