Mangal snatches her mangalsutra from him. She says my mangalsutra. Kusum asks if she is okay. She hugs her. Adit and Somaiya hide. Mangal tries to take her bag back. She is stabbed in the hand by the goon. The men catch him. Mangal grabs her mangalsutra from him.
We could have gotten caught, Adit says. Somaiya says we can make an excuse, don’t worry. He says there can’t be any excuse. She asks how I would know they’d come. He says Mangal is always there. I don’t know why you’ve become so arrogant. Mangal says my mangalsutra is broken. Kusum says you saved it. We’ll get it fixed. Everything is fine.
Mangal says no, I’m distraught. I need to talk to Adit. Kusum says yeah, call him. Kusum says yes, call him. Ask Adit to come here. When Mangal calls Adit, she asks her if she’s okay. He says what rubbish? You don’t waste my time. Cut the call. He hangs up. Kusum asks if she’s alright. She replies that he’s working. Kusum suggests we ask him to pick us up. Mangal says he’s busy. Kusum tells him a thief stole Mangal’s mangalsutra, but she’s brave. She took it back, and it showed me how precious it was to her. Adit says she is glad she got it back. Kusum says come here and pick us up. Adit says I’m busy. She says, come here immediately.

To avoid getting a medal here, Adit tells Mangal to leave, madam.
Gayatri is going to the temple. Omesh says he can’t come because he has to work. Upon stopping Gayatri, he says Lakshmi should sit in front of you. You said parents should relax in the backseat while husband and wife should sit in front. Her mother-in-law recalls she said it.

Karthik asks Mom to call the doctor. She says, “I’m fine.” Lakshmi says, “Let me make lemonade for you.” Sanjana says, “This isn’t heat; it’s shamelessness. You did the same with your mother.” In her heart, Gayatri says that your DIL will also get you kicked out, just like you did with your mother.
When Mangal gets home, she sprinkles confetti and cheers for her. Akshad takes her in. What is all this about? Papa says Mangal has made us so proud. Akshad got so many phone calls. Adit says, “Stop! How stupid is it that you have to clean all the trash?” Mangal says, “I will do it.” Papa says Adit’s kids are just celebrating, so let them be.
Adit says nobody cares even if they eat anything. They ate at the pooja. Mangal says, “Let me cook.” Kusum asks, “Where did you go, Adit?” Ishana says Papa took Somaiya to the doctor. Mangal is shocked. She asks what happened. Ishana says she fell and got a foot injury. Kusum says, “So you left the pooja and took her to the hospital? How badly was she injured?”
Mangal points out that you mentioned being busy, to which Adit replied yes, and Kusum added that if you had informed us about the injury and your busy schedule caring for her, she wouldn’t have been wondering what your plans were on a Sunday. Adit then clarifies that he wasn’t allowed to explain himself, while Mangal was caught up in her dramatic display of bravery. He calmly explains that he took Somaiya to the doctor out of a sense of responsibility as she sustained the injury at their place. He reminds them that someone needs to take care of Ishana, questioning if he could have left her alone while they put their faith in Mangal’s bravado to teach her children. He believes she is not equipped to be a role model for her own kids.
Kusum asks, “Aren’t you proud that Mangal saved her mangalsutra? What if it had been stolen and something happened to you? While you were concerned for Somaiya, Mangal was concerned for you. She risked her life to retrieve it. For a woman, the mangalsutra symbolizes her entire identity.” As she hands him the broken piece, Kusum reminds him that a husband should respect his wife when she puts her life on the line for him. However, he responds by mocking her and pointing out that it is now damaged. Kusum defends Mangal’s actions and states that she fulfilled her duty. It is now his responsibility to have it repaired and make sure Mangal wears it again.
