Mangal Lakshmi 1st November 2024 Written Episode begins with Kusum throwing Soumya out of the house. She declares that everything about Soumya is fake and asks her to leave. Adit steps in and stops Kusum. He says the marriage papers might be fake, the wedding might not be complete, but his love for Soumya is real. He admits that his happiness lies with Soumya and not with Mangal. Adit tells Kusum that he wants to divorce Mangal and that if Soumya is forced out, he too will leave. He threatens to take the children with him, saying nobody will be able to stop him.

Mangal pleads with Kusum not to let the family break apart. She says it does not matter if the marriage was real or not, because Adit’s heart is tied to Soumya. She asks Kusum not to let the children and the family suffer because of her. Kusum praises Mangal’s big heart but refuses to accept Soumya in her house. Adit defends Soumya, claiming that she is capable of things Mangal could never even imagine. He questions whether he does not deserve his happiness and accuses Kusum of being blind to the truth. Adit then threatens to leave the house with Soumya, insisting that Kusum cannot accept that Soumya might be a better daughter-in-law.

Kusum stops Adit and says he is right. She admits that she always supported Mangal because she loved her and wanted her happiness. She tells Adit that he now has the right to live with the woman he chooses. Smiling at Mangal, Kusum leaves, while Soumya hugs Adit and rejoices that Kusum has accepted her. Soumya mocks Kusum, calling her spirit broken, and Adit expresses disbelief that this has worked in their favour.

Later, Kusum laughs to herself. Sudesh asks why she is so happy, and Kusum replies that God is with her. She knows Soumya and Adit are not truly married, and Soumya will not last in the house. Kusum vows to show Soumya how difficult it is to be a wife and daughter-in-law, confident that Soumya will run away within days.

Meanwhile, Karthik tends to Lakshmi’s burns and assures her that she should feel better. He praises her for doing so much for everyone. Akshar returns from his outing with friends, and Kusum asks Mangal to sit down. She instructs Soumya to serve everyone. When Soumya tries to sit in Mangal’s place, Akshar objects, saying that spot belongs to his mother. Mangal insists she will not eat, but Akshar refuses to eat without her.

Kusum orders Soumya to go to the kitchen and make puris. Soumya protests, asking when she will get to eat, but Kusum reminds her that as the daughter-in-law, she must serve others first, just like Mangal did. Kusum gives Soumya further instructions to serve her father-in-law and husband, wash the dishes, prepare meals for the children, and keep the kitchen clean. She assures Soumya that she can be a good daughter-in-law if she learns her responsibilities. Kusum then asks Mangal to rest, confident that Soumya will soon give up.

Mangal questions what Kusum will achieve by overburdening Soumya, but Kusum explains that she wants Adit to see the truth. Mangal wonders if this will make Adit love her, but Kusum says she only wants to restore Mangal’s self-respect.

Later, Mangal goes to collect her clothes from Adit’s room. Soumya angrily throws her clothes out, accusing her of keeping them there to get close to Adit. She orders Mangal to move her belongings to the children’s room and stay away from Adit. Mangal calmly says she is not doing any drama. Soumya warns her to be careful, insisting she is not afraid of her.

Precap: Soumya asks Mangal to wash Adit’s clothes. Mangal replies that they are her husband’s clothes, so she should wash them herself. Soumya questions Mangal about wearing a mangalsutra. Mangal firmly states that she has managed the house for 15 years and can continue to do so alone. Adit requests Mangal to wash his clothes, but she refuses.
