The episode begins with Lakshmi telling Adit that what he did was a crime. She warns him that he can go to jail. Adit tells her to shut up. Mangal interrupts and asks Lakshmi to stop. But Lakshmi refuses to be silent. She questions Mangal’s decision to fast for Adit and respect him when he clearly does not deserve it. She says she remained silent all this while, but now Adit has crossed all limits.
Soumya sarcastically thanks Lakshmi. Lakshmi reminds Adit of his promise to always keep Mangal happy and says this is how he is keeping it. Adit storms off saying he cannot tolerate Mangal anymore. Mangal again asks Lakshmi to stop. But Lakshmi is firm. Mangal tries to defend Adit saying he has been taking care of her lately and was just stressed. Lakshmi questions the wound on her hand. Mangal says the bangles broke accidentally and asks Lakshmi not to make it an issue. Lakshmi applies medicine on her wound.
Mangal requests Lakshmi to leave with Karthik and not to worry about what happened. On the way, a veiled woman stops Lakshmi asking to use her phone to call her husband. Lakshmi gives her the phone and walks away. It turns out to be Soumya. She says now she will show them what she can do.
Back home, Adit tells Mangal not to misunderstand him. He says he was stressed due to work and never meant to hurt her. Meanwhile, Lakshmi is still disturbed and wonders what is truly in Adit’s heart. She finds his behavior confusing and cannot forget what she saw.
Just then, the doorbell rings. The police arrive and ask for Adit. Kusum questions the reason. The inspector says Adit is under arrest. Mangal asks why. The inspector says he is accused of domestic violence. Mangal is shocked and asks who made the complaint. The inspector reveals it was made by Lakshmi. Everyone is stunned. Mangal and Kusum refuse to believe it.
The inspector asks to check Mangal for injuries. They find cuts on her wrists caused by broken bangles. Adit accuses Lakshmi of targeting him and constantly questioning his actions. Mangal defends her sister, saying Lakshmi would never file such a complaint. But the inspector confirms the call came from Lakshmi’s number.
Kusum recalls Adit’s past aggression but insists he never physically harmed Mangal. She pleads with the inspector, but they say they must proceed with the arrest. Mangal and Kusum try to stop them. Adit resists, but the police take him away. Neighbors gossip about the arrest and speculate that the wedding was just a cover-up. Adit blames Mangal for the humiliation and says now Kusum understands his years of suffocation. Mangal runs after the police van in tears. Kusum, too, breaks down. When Mangal hugs her, Kusum pushes her away, blaming Lakshmi for everything.
Meanwhile, Soumya watches in disguise and mockingly wishes Mangal a happy anniversary, revealing her plan to ruin everything.
Elsewhere, Lakshmi, still worried, calls Mangal. Suddenly, someone blindfolds her. It turns out to be Karthik, who surprises her with a decorated room. He says he arranged a small date to cheer her up. Though she refuses to eat, he insists and feeds her.
Soon, Kusum and Mangal arrive at Gayatri’s house. Gayatri is surprised to see them and asks what happened. Kusum demands to know where Lakshmi is. When she finds Lakshmi dining with Karthik, she yells at her.
Lakshmi is confused. Kusum accuses her of ruining their family by filing a police complaint against Adit. Lakshmi is stunned and denies it. Karthik and Gayatri are equally shocked. Kusum continues accusing Lakshmi, who maintains her innocence. Mangal says she believes Lakshmi, but the police named her and mentioned her number.
Karthik asks everyone to calm down and suggests going to the police station to find the truth. Mangal agrees and asks Lakshmi to clear her name with the inspector. Kusum, still crying, says her son is in jail because of Lakshmi.
