The episode begins with tension as Lakshmi insists that Mangal stay with her, but Shanti warns Lakshmi not to provoke her. Mangal silences them both, declaring that she will not live with either of them. She says she does not want to be a burden on anyone. Lakshmi reassures her that she has full faith in her strength, but Mangal excuses herself, saying she needs rest.

Elsewhere, Jiya tries to convince Karthik to let go of the past and work with her. She insists that their deal is only professional, but Karthik makes it clear that he has moved on and is happy in his life. He reluctantly agrees to proceed with the work.

At home, Mangal plays with Akshar when she gets a call from the school. The school informs her that Adit has not paid the children’s fees. Shocked, Mangal realises Adit had promised to pay at the start of the month. Soumya admits that Adit asked her to deposit the fees but she deliberately didn’t, saying Mangal must learn to earn on her own. Determined, Mangal calls a number on a pamphlet for a job. Though told it is for men only, she insists she can do it. She learns she can earn ₹5,000 per event. Kusum overhears and questions her, offering support with her father’s pension. But Mangal refuses, saying she must maintain her self-respect and provide for her children herself.

Meanwhile, Jiya calls Gayatri and tells her about Karthik accepting the deal. She expresses disapproval over a boy choosing an “ordinary girl.” Lakshmi overhears but Gayatri assures her that Mangal is strong enough to face challenges.

In the kitchen, Soumya prepares oily and spicy food. Mangal points out that no one in the family eats such food. Soumya mocks her, saying she is not a servant like Mangal and only cooks for herself and Adit. At the dining table, Adit chokes on the spicy food and angrily turns to Mangal, but she says she only prepared food for her parents. Sudesh praises Mangal’s caring nature while Adit scolds Soumya for not being able to cook properly.

Later, Lakshmi congratulates Karthik with a cake for his new deal. He recalls his meeting with Jiya and hugs Lakshmi emotionally, saying he does not feel right about the deal. Lakshmi comforts him, reminding him of his professionalism and reassuring him that everything will be fine.

As night falls, Mangal gets ready to leave secretly. Soumya notices her and grows suspicious, deciding to follow her.
