Meanwhile, Mangal is enjoying the festivities with the kids. Soumya sarcastically comments on how joyful it must feel to celebrate with one’s own family. Mangal invites her to join in and mentions she even pressed her dress. Soumya pretends to go get it, but later, in private, she puts a hot iron on Mangal’s saree with the intention to ruin it.
As Mangal prepares to leave for the temple, Kusum confronts Shanti about her accusations. Shanti insists she has a witness but doesn’t reveal their identity. Mangal walks in and senses tension, but Kusum covers up, saying they were discussing flowers. Mangal leaves for the temple, and Shanti decides to accompany her.
At the temple, Shanti tries to open up to Mangal, but Lakshmi arrives. The women greet each other warmly, and Mangal compliments Lakshmi on her mehndi, suggesting Kartik must truly love her. Shanti, irritated, reminds them of their purpose and they proceed with the pooja. Afterwards, Lakshmi leaves, and Mangal asks Shanti why she’s crying. Shanti, overwhelmed with guilt, confesses her failures as a mother and expresses a desire for Mangal’s happiness. Mangal senses something deeper is troubling her.
Back home, Kusum reflects on Shanti’s accusations. Sudesh tries to lighten the mood, showing her Akshar’s drawing, but Kusum remains disturbed by Shanti’s words.
Soumya, on the other hand, sends Adit a picture of herself in Mangal’s saree. He is shocked and questions her. She smirks, claiming she will lie that Mangal burned her dress and left her no choice.
Shanti returns home, and Kusum immediately questions her. Just then, Soumya appears wearing Mangal’s saree, shocking everyone. Shanti angrily confronts her, accusing her of doing it intentionally. Kusum asks Soumya for an explanation. Soumya claims innocence, saying she didn’t know the rituals and simply wore the saree she found. Shanti calls it a deliberate act and warns Kusum about Soumya’s true intentions.
At that moment, Mangal walks in and directly questions Soumya about her relationship with Adit. The room falls silent. Mangal demands answers—why is Soumya always present at family functions? Why does she wear Mangal’s clothes? Why does she act like a part of the family? When Soumya tries to deflect, Mangal presses harder, stating that she’s learned something that prompted these questions.
Adit tries to intervene, calling Soumya just a guest. But Mangal isn’t convinced. She challenges Soumya’s constant presence, questioning why no other colleague behaves the way she does. Finally, Mangal demands to know the truth: What is Soumya’s real relationship with Adit?
