Mangal and Sanjana watch the video of Karthik and Lakshmi together. Gayatri joins them and Sanjana reassures her they are just kids, so there’s no need to worry. Gayatri questions what they are discussing, to which Sanjana responds that it might raise her blood pressure. The reporters speculate if Lakshmi is the one Karthik loves, seeing them in each other’s arms on the crane. They comment on how many hearts Karthik has broken and how cute they look as a couple. This news shocks Mangal, causing Gayatri to throw her phone in anger. As Karthik arrives, she accuses him of lying about the video being false news. In her frustration, Gayatri leaves abruptly while Mangal tries to contact Lakshmi with no success. Kusum interrupts by asking Mangal for a leg massage and inquires about what’s happening. Mangal explains her concerns about Lakshmi, but Kusum reminds her that finding a suitable partner takes time.
Adit claims she’s already found the guy, while Lakshmi discovered him alone. This news takes aback Kusum. Adit declares that the entire world is in chaos. The sisters are both skilled at playing games. She questions why Mangal is hesitant to tell their mother when Lakshmi had no shame in her actions being exposed to the public eye. However, Lakshmi denies any wrongdoing. Adit doubts her and reveals it’s become breaking news on television. He reassures their mother that there’s no need to search for the man anymore because Lakshmi has succeeded immensely – she even made it on TV. He sympathises with poor Karthik and shows Kusum a video of the two together. Confused, Kusum asks why Lakshmi is seen with Karthik in the first place.
Mangal is convinced that something is amiss, but Kusum disagrees and asserts that they are all together, as evidenced by the applause from the public. Adit chimes in, claiming to have personally witnessed the interaction. However, Mangal interjects and admits he also caught a glimpse and was about to share his observation. Adit quickly accuses him of being a habitual liar and questions their intentions to trap Karthik without anyone finding out. Mangal defends Lakshmi, stating that she is incapable of such deceitful schemes and citing his knowledge of her character. Despite this, Kusum remains puzzled about how they could be together if they don’t meet. Lakshmi then explains they may have crossed paths at a recent poetry competition.
Adit mentions that she still supports her perspective. One cannot determine if her intention in attending was to compete or ensnare Karthik. On the other hand, Mangal kept this information from you. She intends to have a conversation with you. Adit questions if you can now see their true nature. You were anxious about Lakshmi but now observe the scheme she devised. Mangal affirms to talk to Lakshmi about this matter. Adit suggests that you should focus on preparing for your housewarming ceremony, not meeting your sister, and commending her actions. Give her a call instead. Kusum adds that you did not even inform them about the situation, making it difficult for them to find a suitable match for Gayatri. Gayatri must be deeply hurt. Mangal assures her that she will speak to Gayatri and requests that she make a cup of tea.
Mangal calls Lakshmi. Shanti smacks her hand and says, “You shameless girl, who are you talking to now?” Lakshmi replies, “No one. It was just ringing.” Shanti retorts, “Stop fooling us. We know what you do outside and about your affairs. How much more shame will you bring to us?” She strikes Lakshmi again. “You will break my daughter’s marriage,” Shanti accuses. Lakshmi pleads, “I didn’t do anything.” Shanti yells, “Stop lying. We took you in, thinking you were an orphan, and this is how you repay us with shame? Shameless girl. You could only find her brother-in-law to have an affair with?” Chacha interjects, “End all this. Lakshmi and Mangal will handle everything.” Shanti blames, “You spoiled her, and now look at what she’s doing. She’s brought us so much shame; how will we ever face Mangal now?” She hits Lakshmi again and orders, “Go and arrange the money.”
Shanti scolds Lipika, “You’re such an idiot. She trapped such a big guy. If you had gone to the poetry event, you would have been with Karthik.” Lipika responds, “But I don’t write.” Shanti retorts, “Then use her content.” Mangal calls, and Shanti cuts the call. Mangal calls Lipika and asks, “Why isn’t Lakshmi picking up the phone? Where is she?” Lipika responds, “Why don’t you ever talk to your real sister?” Mangal says, “You’re equal to me, but I’m worried about her. Is she home?” Shanti interjects, “She’s ashamed of us so much. Look at what she did.” Mangal pleads, “Don’t say that. Let me talk to her.” Shanti insists, “Think about your sister, not Lakshmi.”
Kusum arrives at Gayatri’s home and is immediately asked by Karthik if everything is alright. He explains that his mother has secluded herself in her room. Shanti then shares that the girl Karthik was caught with is his sister-in-law’s sister, which will inevitably cause tension within the family. Kusum reassures them that she will handle the situation and there is no need for their involvement. Karthik defends himself, stating that he had no idea Lakshmi was present and that he was helping someone whose dupatta got stuck. However, people began to cause a commotion. Kusum consoles him by saying she trusts them and heads off to see Gayatri.
Kusum offers Gayatri a glass of water and advises her to remain calm. Gayatri expresses her frustration, stating that Karthik is denying the existence of any issue while the video continues to circulate. She worries about people’s reactions, and Kusum tries to reassure her not to mind others. Gayatri then shares her concerns about her only son being pursued by multiple girls, starting with Jia and now Lakshmi. She questions why Lakshmi was near Karthik, and Kusum prompts her to contemplate the situation before jumping to conclusions about Lakshmi’s character. However, despite all these worries, Kusum points out that perhaps it is a sign from above, and they can find a solution together. Karthik enters the room just then, and Kusum asks if Gayatri is feeling better. Gayatri requests for him to leave instead.
Kusum and Gayatri laugh when Karthik is worried. You worry about your mom. Karthik says that’s what I’m saying, and nothing’s happened. Kusum says we understand. The world makes a mountain out of a molehill. Gayatri says your mom understands you. She says it’s not your fault, nor Lakshmi’s either. Kusum says Sanjana can come in. You won’t see your wish coming true. We’re not fighting. Kusum says forget it. Gayatri hugs Karthik tightly.
Several years ago, Kusum told Gayatri she had to find the silver lining. This is fate. We have known Lakshmi for years. We know how nice she is, how cultural she is, and how innocent she is, just like Mangal. I know Lakshmi didn’t do anything. You got mad at her even though you are his mom. Imagine how mad Jia would be; she would leave Karthik. Be with your son and let the matter play out.
The locals inquired why Lakshmi continued to work, attributing it to Karthik. Lakshmi suggests they direct their nosiness elsewhere and pay her debt while they’re at it. Sonu intervenes, asking what happened. He encourages her to stand up for herself, but she confesses she’s unable to explain the situation to everyone. Her main concern is Mangal. Lakshmi tries calling Mangal from Sonu’s phone since hers is off. Frustrated by having to answer everyone else’s questions, Sonu chimes that Karthik does not need to justify his actions. However, Lakshmi declares she doesn’t care about others’ opinions. Suddenly, a masked person enters her shop and covers her mouth with their hand.
